Very nice community park. Lush landscape. Dog parks next to the flower shop, follow the paw prints. Nice parking, restrooms, trash cans, picnic areas, play fields, jungle gym, skate park. Worth a visit! Playground: Jungle gym, soft flooring, skate part Restrooms: Accessible, clean Dog-friendliness: 3 seperate dog parks, dogs on leash throughout the park, water stations, waste stations Picnic area: Lots of picnic benches, pavilions
Great park for big and small dogs to mingle. Park can be quite busy so always keep your eyes open for overly aggressive dogs especially if you see the pack mentality developing.
Encinitas Dog Park is a great place to bring your dog to run around with other dogs. The park is spacious and well maintained. The dog park has grass and a paved path on the perimeter. There are restrooms, and it's adjacent to a children's play area. Your dog should already be good with other dog before you bring them here. Playground: Great play area for kids, complete with sun sails so the equipment doesn't get too hot. Restrooms: Full restrooms, well maintained. Dog-friendliness: Great place for your dog to come and behave like a dog, get to connect and play with other dogs.
One of the best dog parks I've been to in San Diego. The landscaping is great for the dogs and for people. Lots of grass and shady trees for the dogs. Also has a dog agility area.Public restrooms: YesOff-leash dog area: Yes
We have been coming to this park since it opened. I have three dogs two of which are huskies and they love this dog park. They make a lot of friends every time we visit which is once to twice a week. We used to live in Encinitas but have visited this park from other areas We moved to. Reasons why I personally love the park is it’s completely fenced in I don’t have to worry about my dogs getting out. Most people who visit are aware of how dog parks work & are very responsible with the opening and closing of the entrance gates. This park is huge, mostly clean… Clearly very well-maintained… Very beautiful landscaping… And in recent years they’ve added umbrellas to the benches and I think everyone’s favorite feature is the fountain that provides freshwater to our thirsty dogs. *****Note that this park is CLOSED IN MAY AND OCTOBER every year for maintenance. It’s also closed Thursday afternoons for weekly Maintenance. *****
People and most dogs were friendly there, dogs of all sizes and shapes. There were a couple of large, rambunctious doggies but the owners got them under control quickly. My smaller sized dog got a bit overwhelmed after a while. There is a separate smaller fenced area, I'm assuming for small dogs.
Beautiful designed dog park. We went when it was raining, so no one else was there but I can imagine that it can be very popular. The lush grass and gorgeous landscaping were a delight especially since many dog parks are on dirt mud when it rains or full of wood chips/bark. My boys loved coursing around the park and we'll definitely come back. Dog-friendliness: Best dog park
Very nice dog park with play areas for small dogs as well as a "general" area for all dog types. Lots of green grass not a dirt pit like too many other dog parks and lots of room to run and play.
Great dog park. The best. If you want to find out how to design a dog park - this is the place to study. There are separate area for large and small dogs, plus a place for first-time visit so your dog can get acclimated. Remember this - I warn you - it has the Worst signage possible. It is impossible to find this area. Come on Encinitas - put up some signs.
This is by far my favorite dog park to take my dog. They have 3 fenced off grass areas: first timers, small dogs, and large dogs. They have an agility course in the large dog area small dogs are welcome in there too! There are umbrellas with benches along the path of the large dog area. I love that they have different entry ways to get in,zoomies so your dog isn't overwhelmed at all the dogs rushing in. My dog is a rescue and gets skittish at first, so I like to take her into first timers section and then go from the door that connects to large dog area. She sneaks into big dog area without feeling anxious. Park is well maintained and owners keep tabs on their dog's whereabouts and pick up after their pet.
