Lovely viewpoint with some shady trees and picnic tables available. Nice spot to visit if your walking around historic Encinitas through 2nd street. Water fountain and trash cans. Free street parking. No restrooms. Playground: None Restrooms: None Picnic area: Multiple tables, some in shade
A great spot to have lunch and enjoy the beautiful views of the pacific. Lots of shade and benches to sit on. Secluded enough but easily accessible. Also very clean with plenty of places to throw trash away. Usually a few people here but there’s enough space for everyone.
WHAT A VIEW! No beach access but you can overlook the beach & waves from here. Great sunsets & free street parking.
We saw dolphins. Scene was nice and not too crowded. I played Gut's Theme while looking into the horizon....
Good viewpoint for sunset. You can have lunch/dinner brought by you on the benches with the amazing view.

Peaceful beautiful place to see the ocean
Wasn't expecting just a viewpoint been searching for places with beach access for walking, but WOW! What a view point. This would be a great place to have a meeting spot for group walks/activities, go to clear your head and get some "Me" time, even run in to / meet new friends. I went at around 7am and the fog lightly blanketed the area so the coast looked like a painting and the sound of the waves put me at ease. Go check it out, you won't regret it.

Another jewel of a place in beautiful Encinitas! The perfect place to meditate or contemplate the waves, soak in some sun, watch the pelican squadron fly by in perfect and harmonious formation and smell that fresh sweet sea breeze while waiting for the perfect sunset!!
