I called looking for a spot. Went to voice mail. I called again 2 days later. Same thing. No return call. I went to reserve on website. No response. I had a little extra time and took a drive to see if it was really there. WOW! A very bumpy, pothole, washboard road lead to the park. Walked around the gate to get to the office. No one was there. 3 pm on a friday and no one there, other than campers. No staff. At least they could have returned my call. That would have been nice. Take your site off the internet if you don't want anymore campers. I'd like to comment on the park itself, but we couldn't get in. The owner responded to this and said it was a seasonal site. Well, I wanted one month. It would have been nice to get a response before I wrote this review. Simple phone call or email would have been better than silence.
Great place with the most wonderful residents. Community heated pool. Near the river. Clean grounds.
This was an awesome campground. Our site was right by the river with plenty of space. The campground was clean and had a pond and a heated outdoor pool for swimming.
Awesome owner and staff. Very friendly and makes you feel welcomed. Clean facility and beautiful camping area and pool area... All around clean and will definitely be returning....thank you Laurie for taking us in last minute on Fathers Day weekend after we went to hideaway lakes and we refused to stay there... You could have turned us away because of the short notice but you didn't and found us a site.... Thank you again....
Super fun and everything is so clean!! Don't forget your Mosquito Repellent Deet 98% is the Best!
The campground is nice bathrooms are average pool is great, activities for children some weekends. Overall experience is just not great price to tent camp 60 dollars .. manager Mike is unprofessional and wasn't very accommodating for the second time. Mallard bend has over booked our cabin stay only to steer us to a tent site more than once. Rain kept us away Fri night returning sat to find them cancelling our res, the story goes on... Like the campground but poor management
VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED! No weekend camping is a ridiculous idea. Ive been coming here multiple times a year to camp for the past 4 years. This campground was one of the main reason i bought a house out here in the middle of nowhere. What a shame. My grandparents come out here from AZ every year and stay here with their RV for a could weeks. Guess they will take their business elsewhere. So DISAPPOINTED.
They say they are pet friendly but we found that to be very untrue. We were harassed all weekend about our dogs and they never even had an encounter with any one at the park and do not bark. The local trailer trash were very unwelcoming and spy on the campers. Not to mention the lady who lived in the trailer across from our cabin threw her garbage into the trees next to us every night. Real classy.
$21 per adult per night is a bit steep for a primitive camp site, but the park was clean and we'll maintained. Camping on freshly cut green grass is always more enjoyable than the rocky dirt pads at most state parks. A small seasonal concession stand open on weekends to boot if you don't feel like roughing it to cook every meal.
Fun, clean place to spend great times. Very family oriented. Some recent reviews on this site were written by the angry child and their friend, of an ex-employee. It is a shame that their comments are posed more toward their parent than the campground itself. This campground is VERY family oriented with weekend crafts for children of all ages. There are scheduled adult activities throughout the weekend as well. We do have a place to purchase meals, snacks and ice cream etc. The portions are large and the variety is great. Please take the time to come visit our campgrounds. We all think that it is the best ones around and don't take the previous comments lightly as they are not what we are about.
