Carrying on a Family Tradition

Welcome to Mancuso's Italian Ristorante, carrying on a family tradition. Mancuso's original owner, Cathy Mancuso, started Mancuso's in February 1987. After living in upstate New York until her late twenties, Cathy, following in her fathers footsteps, opened her own restaurant. In the late 50's Cathy's father, James Vincent Nessia, aka Jimmy Nash, owned and operated Nash's in Utica, New York (you can view the original Nash's menu in our restaurant).

When Cathy came to Texas, she soon realized that there were no real Italian restaurants in the Fort Worth area. After looking around the area she soon found a piece of property on White Settlement Road in the middle of nowhere, but Cathy had a vision that the area would grow and she was right! As the saying goes "If you build it, they will come", and they did! For the last 20+ years, Cathy has been feeding everyone in Fort Worth and beyond, surviving, just on word of mouth. Families returning several times a week as well as some very special celebrities have graced Mancuso's Ristorante.

Cathy has since retired, spending time with her family and all her wonderful grandchildren. Cathy has now passed on her amazing recipes and her vision to her son, Michael Mancuso. Within the last few years since Michael has taken over the vision his mother started has grown and continues to grow.

What started as a family restaurant continues today with the motto of "we treat everyone who walks in the door like family, because they are our family"

This was my first and last time I’ll ever have a pizza from here. It was like a real kitchen nightmare from a Gordon Ramsey episode. I don’t know how they can serve that! The pizza was super oily and just too much cheese. The pepperonis were stacked on top of each other underneath the cheese so the pepperoni was raw from not be able to cook properly which added to all the oil. Just too much pepperoni stacked 4 or 5 on top of each other not even separated. just lazy. The sausage was also raw cause with all the cheese covering it. it doesn’t cook properly! Looked like dog food. Super soggy dough and the floppiest pizza ever! When you pull a slice all the contents just fall off the slice and nothing stayed together. The cheese was like glue. I hate when places cook the toppings under the cheese! Sad part is I had to deconstruct it and cook it in my own air fryer to make it better. Sad place
The service was excellent. The person at the front desk of our hotel recommended Mancuso's Italian Ristorante for our meal during the first night of our stay. I could not have been more pleased. The homemade lasagna was cooked right then as I realized that the first bite was very . I had the Homemade Lasagna and a salad. We were served garlic bread with the salad and our meal. Since our hotel was less than half a block from the restaurant, we walked.
I am not a soup person, the sausage soup is an excellent starter. The Veal Parmesan is exceptional. Grilled Chicken Alfredo is also good.Food: 5/5
Most of the time service is a 5 star. This tome it was not. We waited 30 minutes before we got our drinks after sitting down. Finally got our order taken after waving him down. Two people in our party ordered pizza I ordered a salad my husband ordered the fish to share either his dad, and one ordered the lasagna. He brought out everything except the pizzas. After a few minutes he brought out one pizza. After about 10 minutes he brought out the 2nd pizza It was made wrong. Had mushrooms on it which he is allergic to. Took it back took 30 minutes or more for them to cook another one. We were all completely done eating before his pizza came. They should have given him his pizza for free. No one came put to apologize or even offer him something else or hive it to him for free Usually this is a great place to eat. Food is always extra good. Service is always excellent but not that night. But even after this we Will continue to go back because it is a great place
Seriously worth stopping! From the delicious pizza with the best marinara, cheese, and Italian peppers! to the seriously stellar customer service by the owner! I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place and the pizza! We will definitely be back and be recommending this place to everyone we meet here!
Stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant! It’s been around for ever, but I hadn’t been. The Friday Special smoked prime rib was amazing! I’d never tried smoked prime rib before & it was the best I’ve had. The sides were really yummy & the portion was generous! The staff was really helpful too! I’ll definitely be going back for that awesome meal!
We had the sweetest time at Mancusos. The waitress was great and very attentive. The food was delicious, I especially loved the Chicken Riggies!Food: 5/5
Quaint little place with more than ample servings of great Italian food. Awesome meat sauce, large meatballs, tasty Italian sausage, veal picatta, and chicken parmigiana; all tender and delicious. Even willing to make minor substitutions with pasta as asked. Service was slow due to a miscommunication between wait staff, but overall it was a good experience with great italian food. They even have the infamous Chicken Riggies fron Utica, NY on the menu. Parking: Ample parking out front and on the side. Kid-friendliness: Great children's entrees, NOT hot dogs and grilled cheese.
We tried this place because of a FTW Star Telegram story about how Tony Bennet liked the restaurant. The people who work there are very friendly but it was obvious that they could use more staff. I don't know if that was just the night we were there or if it is chronic. The food was pretty middle of the road. There isn't anything wrong, but it was just kind of me. I can't really make a recommendation one way or the other. I'm sure that many people will love it.
This was our first visit to this restaurant. The bruschetta was absolutely delicious. The chicken parm was probably the best I’ve ever had. Our drinks were always full. We will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
