Unexpected surprise! We were passing by and decided to give it a try and oh yes we loved it. Museum itself is not big but they have quests! Like 6 or maybe even 8 different lines of quests! The one with the toolkit bag was really great although you need to pay extra, but it worth it! Many paintings and drawings showing the actual life of people in the sea by the artists who witnessed it all with their own eyes. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend this museum!
What a cool little museum! Jess is a great tour guide as well. Thanks, we will come again!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Friendly front desk staff. Unfortunately you must book tours to see most of the museum at this moment as they are still moving back into the space, but the front gallery has some ship models to look at. If you are lucky, you might see some peach blossom jellyfish tiny, freshwater jellies in the dry dock. Also fun to watch the sunfish in the dry dock.
The marine Museum has been a go to place for residents and tourists for years. We feel fortunate to have been able to see the Alexander Henry when you could even stay over night there.
Really nice historical exhibit of Kingston's history on the waterfront.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait

Small but informal. Good history. If you find it boring, you must be boring! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The history and information was delightful!
I give you five stars for your recent acquisition of the SS Keeweenaw ! She is a beautiful ship which used to reside down the street from my home near Saugatuck Michigan. She’s definitely a beauty And I’m so happy she will be well cared for.
Worth taking time to stop by. This pay-what-you-can museum is just in the process of settling back into the location, but there it's still a wonderful glimpse into the ship building past of the area. Model ships and detailed, exquisite hand drawn blueprints. Staff are nice. There is a public washroom. Don't miss checking out the two impressive oil pastel portraits by Grant Macdonald. They're masterpieces.
Small Free museum definitely deserve donation. We had a very nice tour guide explaining different types of ships and boats on the lake by the time.15 to 30 min. They deserve a bigger location again
