We stopped in for lunch, I got the French dip and Italian wedding soup. It was some of the best soup I've ever had. The sandwich was very good too. They don't take credit or debit cards. Make sure you have cash. The prices are very reasonable.
This is an absolutely amazing neighborhood deli. from the moment I first walked in the atmosphere was incredible a very family-friendly down-to-earth type of vibe. The owner seemed to know everybody by their first name and was very engaging with them. The food was very cheap compared to other places in the area and it was incredible. I will be returning and you should to!
Great little Italian eatery. They have amazing sandwiches and also have whole meals ready to take home and bake for days you don't feel like cooking. Would be 5 stars if they accepted cards. I haven't carried checks in years and rarely have cash on me. Not a customer oriented decision in my opinion.
A nice little Italian deli. Family owned since the 1960? I believe. A nice selection of Italian dry goods, nearer to Christmas they have a really good panetoni. Meats, cheeses deli salads we really like the pasta salad. A selection of the higher end sodas. European cookies and candies for those with a sweet tooth.
This place is an awesome neighborhood deli with history. They have some inexpensive sandwiches that melt in your mouth. The inside and outside decor could use some updating since the 70s, and they only accept cash and debit, but it's definitely my new favorite restaurant in Fircrest.
This is a LOVELY italian delicatessen. They have frozen pasta sauces that are made there that you can take home, wonderful sandwiches and a great selection of cheeses. Definitely check this out if you're in the area but BRING CASH or CHECK. They don't take debit or credit cards.
Excellent food, affordable, incredible service! Today I stumbled upon Viafore’s and I’m beyond pleasantly surprised. I got my food fairly quickly and it is super tasty. I don’t even like beef barley soup, but I LOVE their’s. Everything is affordable and you get a good amount of food. Not to mention their phenomenal customer service. Ahh! I can’t wait to go back. They even have all kinds of Italian sweets.
Had the Viafore's Special sandwich with a side of pasta salad, and it was excellent. Awesome place to get a sandwich, pizza, pasta, and a variety of ready made deli foods. Definitely a new go to place for lunch for me.
Not good. 1 Sandwich, even with "extra meatballs" "meatballs" were sliced VERY thin, was not very tasty - it was also OVERLOADED with thick onion slices. Went here with a friend who recommended it. 2 They don't don't take plastic - cash only. Who the hell does THAT anymore??. Well, I dont usually carry a lot of cash. So my friend had to pay for my meal, even though I was willing to run to an ATM. There's no "refills" on any drinks. Whatever you choose to drink, you buy a can or a bottle. The tables were so close together, I had to get people to scootch out of the way just to get to & from my seat. I was NOT impressed at all. This store makes it's money only because it's in a high-money area "downtown" Fircrest & most people who go there, go for the same reason a lot of people will go to their favorite Starbucks - it's close & convenient. But once inside, it's "expected" that you should be willing to accept the B/S along with everything else. "Authentic Italian" food? Fine, but really, who cares? You get TWICE tbe product at Subway, and just as tasty, for HALF the price..!! I'll never go back..!!
Everything an Italian would want in a deli / grocery store. They have caciocavallo cheese, chicago style gardenaire, homemade pasta gravy, AND cannoli shells! Who cares if they are closed on Monday and don't accept Credit / Debit cards. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Very nice owners, super passionate. And extremely delicious sandwiches. Authentic to the core.
