CranioSacral · Visceral · Lowen Systems
It is my aspiration to humbly serve the highest wisdom of the human spirit as it moves through the body. To be present with this wisdom and the elegance with which it finds balance amid constant change. To honor each client, in each session, as a blessing and a miracle.
My practice is a hands-on, energy medicine approach to helping the body restore and sustain harmony. I incorporate methods and techniques that support the self-corrective process, already at work, within each of us. My work is primarly informed by Dr. John Upledger’s CranioSacral Therapy, Dr. Jean Pierre Barral’s Visceral Manipulation and Dynamic Manual Interface, the work of Frank Lowen, LMT. These modes of healing are tremendous gifts from the Osteopathic tradition of manual therapy. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow, through the practice of such gentle and powerful methods.
Perhaps the most striking characteristic of this work is its gentleness. The manual techniques do not require force or speed in their application. The hands are support for corrective activity already at work in the tissue, this activity is quiet, slow and steady, it moves at an organic pace. The effective relief of symptoms, however, comes quickly within each treatment. The slow and gentle, yet quickly effective nature of the work is sweetly paradoxical. The nervous system knows that change is not being forced upon it, that it is being assisted in a non-invasive way.
