Dinner for 24th anniversary. Excellent experience. Cory the waiter was excellent, even had knowledge of the mural on the wall and the best way to warm up my delicious left over pork chop. Ambiance was very nice. Food was delicious and prepared wonderfully. Would definitely go back.
The food was outrageously executed. The fish was crispy and moist but not at all oily. The basque cheesecake was dense and not overly sweet. Just the perfect balance. Our waiter Mason aerated our wine, folded our napkins between courses. He read the specials like a true professional and looked us in the eye the entire time and described each special in fine detail.
The place is amazing. The design is beautiful. The staff are friendly and professional. Definitely upscale trained. The menu was small but concise. It isn't cheap but fares with any high end steak house. Our waiter Daniel was awesome. The staff every time you looked was checking on you , smiling, and giving you 5 star treatment. Great food. The Greek fries were so good. My steak was perfectly cooked and a generous portion. My husband has scallops. They were a small portion but he said they were delicious and he was full. Definitely the place for an occasion.
My husband brought me here for my birthday and it was probably one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! The food was definitely met with high quality and so fresh. Everything was amazing, The ambiance is beautiful and the service was great, we enjoyed every minute being here and will sure be back again!!
Really fantastic restaurant. The hostess was wonderful. Valet parking was an excellent benefit as parking is tough in this area. The food was amazing. Had a half dozen oysters on the half shell and a bowl of lobster bisque followed by a delicious creme brulee. I can't say I loved the lobster bisque however the oysters were wonderful and the creme brulee pretty good. Would have been perfect if the crystallized sugar was still hot. Definitely would highly recommend this restaurant
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in New Hope,PA. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in New Hope,PA. Highly recommend!
Overall, I give Oldstone 4.5 stars. I loved the restaurant that formerly sat in this old stone church, Marsha Browns, but Oldstone appears to be a worthy successor. The dining environment is elegant and unique, the staff more attentive and inline with French waiters than other restaurants. The scallops were delicious, the steak perfectly seasoned and desert a hedonistic delight. My only gripe was that there was a slight amount of gristle in my ribeye. Not pleasure killing, but I would have preferred none. Prices were in line with other steakhouses. Not overblown, but not a value either. If you're in New Hope and struck by a carnivorous appetite, then you should give Oldstone a try. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
Located in downtown New Hope, a historical church transformed into a restaurant and newly established steakhouse, provides a unique atmosphere. Upon arrival, the valet attendant was amazingly prompt, courteous and informative. After walking through the doors of the restaurant, a beautifully laid out bar is straight ahead with a few table tops. We were taken to the second floor, three in all, and the ambience was fascinating. Our server, Justin, provided an incredible service with his kindness and recommendations. He made sure to always follow up on us and have a good dialogue. The spicy octopus and sliced bacon were great appetizers, followed by the ribeye and honey glazed brussel sprouts, topped off with a delicious creme brulee!
Previously visited once years ago when it was Marsha Brown's and that was a lovely experience. I was curious as to the new name. Glad to see that everything is as lovely as before! Staff was extremely attentive and friendly, from hostess to coat check, bartenders and servers. The occasion was an intimate wedding reception dinner, so we were upstairs in a balcony-like area. I didn't see any elevator available, so the long, curved staircase was the only way up as far as I could tell. Drinks were poured generously and quickly. The salad had a light vinaigrette, which would be ideal for someone who isn't a fan of heavy, creamy dressings. Dinner was the filet mignon, and it was by far one of the biggest I've ever seen! The meat was absolutely perfect and the side potatoes were a great accompaniment. It's a long drive for a nice dinner for me but for a special occasion, I'd gladly return. Valet parking is available, but we easily found an inexpensive spot across the street in a lot with meters. Two hours was around $6.50.
The menu and food is exquisite - each dish exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is comfortable and accommodating and the staff is outstanding. It was a great place for our anniversary dinner.Dine in: Yes
