My first time trying Mongolian food and it was AMAZING. My favorite were the steamed dumplings but everything I had was fresh, hot and outstanding. The lady that served us was so sweet too. Highly recommend trying this small business!
Great place with home style hospitality. The menu had a great selection of meat and bread-based dishes that were authentic to real Mongolian cuisine, straight from Mongolia itself - not a fusion of other cuisines. We tried a few dishes including the noodle soup and pirоshki, which were both incredibly delicious. However, the dumplings buuz were definitely our favorite. The food was of the highest quality and every bite was truly enjoyable. We had the chance to drink milk tea and watch Mongolian news - adding to the authentic atmosphere. The lady serving us was incredibly sweet and hospitable, which only added to our positive experience. We enjoyed our conversation with her so much that we want to come back just to talk again! Also, Mazalae Mongolian Restaurant has a very affordable menu. Despite the high quality of the food and service, the prices were incredibly reasonable. This makes it an excellent choice for a casual dinner or lunch out with friends and family. Highly recommend this restaurant!
I recently visited this amazing restaurant and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the stylish and welcoming decor. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they helped me navigate the extensive menu with ease. The food itself was outstanding. Every dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the fried beef with rice and the soup with Mongolian noodle, which was perfectly cooked and incredibly delicious. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a truly outstanding meal. I will definitely be returning soon!
Happy we found another authentic Mongolian restaurant near Chicago. The folx at Mazalae serve up the great hospitality and food Mongolians are known for. The milk tea was hot, tsuivan was just what we were hoping for, and the staff and customers were very welcoming. баярлалаа!Food: 5/5
Food made to order, it was amazing. The food takes time to prepare but it is well worth waiting for. The owners were very welcoming, they realized it was our first time there and took time to explain the menu and food. I will definitely be back and try some more of their amazing food.
As a Mongolian from Minnesota I approve this restaurant. Every dish is great, especially the steamed dumplingsbuzz, fried dumplingskhuushuur, the meatball soupkhuicaa, UB potato salad, hand pulled noodle dish tsuivan. As a desert get the Mongolian milk curds. Complimentary milk tea!
The service was very friendly, and the portions are quite big and reasonable. The Mongolian beef was a bit on the dry side but it came out well prepared. Their mini salad dish was amazing and they gave me the Mongolian milk tea for free on the side
I think this was my first time ever trying a Mongolian restaurant and it was great! Did a take out for goulash and the milk tea dumpling soup I was very curious about the milk tea soup. Personally enjoyed the dumplings more than the goulash. The owners are very kind too.
It is closed! We spent an hour driving to this place, and before this we came from Florida! It’s Wednesday, August, 9, 2023, 12:44 pm. The cafe is closed, no one is answering the phone. That’s ridiculous! The schedule on the door says it opens at 11am. Instagram says it’s open Monday through Sunday from 11 am. Google says it’s open from Wednesday to Sunday from 11am. How are we supposed to eat in this cafe in this situation???
The depth of flavor and variety of the huitsaa meatball noodle soup is out of this world. It's kept hot in a stone pot, has a terrific aroma, and has chunks of wonderfully stewed veggies, meats, and cellophane noodles. It contains perfectly browned potatoes, flavor bomb meatballs, and fatty and lean cuts of pork and beef, and bits of stewed root veggies like carrots and radish that absorbed all the flavor of the stew. The bin fried bread is crispy and flakey and pairs perfectly with soup. Everything is served with warm, traditional milk tea. I'm excited to try the rest of their menu! Edit: tried their dumpling soup later and highly recommend it as well.
