This little, tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant with a boarded up front window is incredible. I’ve eaten there probably 10 times now waiting to find something to complain about and besides the discomfort of my back in their booths I have nothing bad to say. Their food is incredible and consistent. The egg roll are top notch, the sweet sauce is delightful, the hot and sour soup is amazing and the won ton soup is tasty. The bbq ribs are so so good. Nice and tangy. Then the Beef and peapods never disappoints, the Mongolian Shrimp is just right and the Empress Chicken with pan fried noodles is scrumptious. There’s never anyone in there when my husband and I are there…I don’t know why. The food is great!! Parking: About 10 spots in a little strip mall
The food was good and the customer service was also. I felt it was not spacious enough for my liking, and it was a little pricey. I would still come back, however .Food: 4/5
Shrimp have a strange texture. Egg foo yong is like mushy/RAW inside. Didn't used to be. Beef chow mein Cantonese was all noodles. All in one container, noodles. Should be separate.used to be. sweet-and-sour pork all breading. Tiny bits of pork that were dry. Unbelievably bad. THIS PLACE IS SLIPPING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW. staff not very friendly, they just don't seem to care. Parking: Parking is very difficult, the lot is usually full. You have to park on the street.
This food was disgusting!!! NO VEGGETABLES OR ANYTHING, THE FRIED RICE SMELLED LIKE CIGARETTES!!! This is NOT CHINESE FOOD!!! If you want real chinese food you have to go to chinatown in ChicagO. The suburbs of Chicago does not have chinese food at all. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE!!!Food: 1/5
I ordered food this evening from this place and let me tell you.I would not feed this food to my DOG.what a terrible experience. This place is by far the absolute worst restaurant I’ve been to. If you like yourself in the slightest bit you won’t order from this place.
Everything for sodalicious they had the biggest egg roll I ever saw I mean big egg rolls for egg foo young was good moogooguypan was excellent everything was good
Hidden gem for sure! Don’t judge a book by a cover. Excellent food! I got the hunan beef-spicy. Wife got orange chicken. Forgot what the others got but all of it was delicious. Will come back again.Recommended dishesTea Pot Hot, Beef Fried Rice
Best Beef fried rice I've ever had Eggrolls are also really good, The sweet and sour chicken was on point. Definitely my new spot to eat at.
For years and years a standout in the local cantonese american old fashioned chinese restaurants of Chicago—the best imho and most distinct style of this kitchen hails from chicago. This is one of the last standing... and still one of the best! Incredible “peanut butter” style egg roll and all the favorites—fried rice, chow mein cantonese style egg foo yong and sweet and sour everything. Pressed duck served two ways. great place for eat in or carry out!
I have to drive about 30 minutes To get to this very American Chinese restaurant. This place has the best eggrolls in Illinois. I should know because i have been searching for a few years now. Downstate, upstate, no one does it better. Great food. Reminds me of places I frequented as a child in Detroit.
