McLennan has an average of 10,000 students enrolled a semester; about half are in workforce programs and half in arts and sciences. The average student age is 26. McLennan has about 550 full-time employees, including about 200 faculty members, 150 administration and professional staff, and 190 support staff. McLennan also employs almost 250 part-time employees, of which about 200 are part-time instructors.
Students enrolling at McLennan may choose from academic course offerings that will transfer to four-year universities or technical career training that prepares students to enter the workforce. More than half of McLennan's students are enrolled in Arts and Sciences classes, and nearly 47 percent of students are enrolled in Workforce programs. Training is offered in more than 40 technical fields, health careers, business and computer fields, commercial music, emergency services, human services, and veterinary programs.
McLennan also partners with four-year universities to offer their bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees on McLennan's campus through the University Center. All University Center courses are taught on campus or online by faculty from one of the partnering colleges. Through the program, McLennan students can move seamlessly from their studies into bachelor’s degree courses offered by the partner schools.
