Opening in Fall of 2018, Memorial City Hall Performance Center will have the ability to host a variety of productions including theatrical and musical.
First constructed in 1907 as Marshall City Hall, and later renamed Memorial City Hall in 1927 as a memorial to the men and women who lost their lives in World War I, the Memorial City Hall Performance Center will open in the Fall of of 2018 as a refurbished and restored downtown icon that will accommodate a variety of performances and other events. Features include a 552 seat auditorium with professional sound, recording,and video capabilities; an entirely new roof, air conditioning and heat, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinklers, finishes and elevator; dressing rooms, rehearsal rooms, green rooms and theatre storage; 1,400 square feet of meeting space and conference rooms with kitchen access; 2,900 square feet of Military Exhibit Space; completely refurbished exterior and windows, covered entry and drop off; and a professional stage with 13 flyway scenes (3 electric) and 8,000-pound lift from basement to stage.
