This used to be a nice hospital. The nurse's and Dr were great. My only complaint is the cleanliness. Especially the emergency room. I would think that cleanliness would be a priority. Maybe they can't get good help in housekeeping. See attached photos.
My wife and I just left a week ago for the birth of our child. It’s was unbelievable how awesome the whole staff was. Helped at every corner fantastic bedside manor from all our wonderful nurses and doctors. We were sad we had to leave with how awesome the experience was. My wife and I are worried about the next time we have a baby as we are worried the next experience will not live up to this one. My wife and I want to say a special thanks to nurse Makiyla she was phenomenal and knew exactly what she was doing, she’s the best! All and all thank you so much Mercy staff you were unbelievably awesome!
Terrible hospital, my mom was rushed here being the only hospital the Lorain ambulance takes you to. My mom was in the ER from 7am until about 6pm at night nobody called any family, nonetheless we were all sitting in a back room that the Chaplin put us in and forgot about us, when I went to ask what’s an update no one knew we were there. Meanwhile my mom was seizing in critical condition for HOURS. I could go on forever this hospital has always been terrible my grandma hated it as a patient and passed here, my mother did not like this hospital and it broke my heart she had to pass away here as well. It breaks my heart to know I couldn’t be by her side the days before she passed because of Covid but when she was admitted to Cleveland clinic a month before they let me sit by her and had masks and PPE for me to wear.
Sorry excuse for a hospital. I spent 5 days here with covid. My doctor was ok but the nurses were terrible. I was suppose to have a certain antibiotic daily for covid found out i only had 2 doses of it. If i called for a nurse it took forever for them to answer the call and then would take forever again to get whatever it was i needed. One day that i was there nurse didnt even come in to get my vitals and change the blackboard until shift change; then cane bouncing in my riom erased my board and changed the date wrote her name and took my vitals to make it seem she had taken care of my all that dsy. The RT was suppose to see me 2x a day for inhalers only seen them 4x the entire stay. And food trays were all over my room no one took them out. It was terrible and i advise no one to use this hospital.
This place is a s$it show! I can not believe my orthopedic surgeon left Cleveland Clinic to go to THIS place. He’s an excellent surgeon. Because of his expertise, I would normally follow him, but I’ve had issues of poor care before at Mercy, so I need to find a different surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic. I’m so disappointed that he made the choice to leave the Clinic. Edit: I’ve decided I’m going to stick with my orthopedic surgeon who moved to Mercy.
My daughters had outpatient dental procedures and the staff was absolutely fantastic. Our nurse Sue was so caring and kind and the doctors for surgical were absolutely wonderful as well. They made a very difficult day a little brighter. I felt they were in very good hands. I would recommend this staff to anyone. Thank you for taking such good care of my girls. I cannot express my gratitude
I had a wonderful experience in the behavioral unit at Mercy. I love Dr. Sarvannan. He's an amazing doctor and I'm incredibly grateful to have received his care. I also felt very taken care of by the excellent staff and safe. The food is wonderful- it's certainly a plus you can make orders! Great group sessions and you're connected to resources immediately. Phenomenal
Pretty bad when they bring your husband in by ambulance & he lays in a hallway for over an hour. Don't bring anyone here..go to Cleveland inic in Avon. Much more professional & they don't yell at you for asking how your loved one is.
The worst ever!! No matter how many times I told them I was given an option block they Ignored me! Pumping morphine & tornados in me. Then wheeled me out to waiting room with no ride. Can't even fix my words on this site Lame!
This isn't my first horrible experience here. I understand being under staffed and realize things take time. But my first experience I brought my daughter here because she was projectile vomiting and was crying constantly instead of doing there job they were standing around talking about how cute she was fine but not the reason I came not only did we get no answers but they put her through hell and bruised her leg from squeezing it so hard im talking hand print basically wasted my money and time for nothing now update for not my boyfriend came in by ambulance with covid symptoms and couldn't move at home couldn't breathe we've been at the hospital er for over 6 hours and his blood viles are still sitting in here with his urine sample from when he first came in but they can't find anything wrong with him... are they actually running test or what.. this place is a joke workers standing around gossiping about patients while we suffer unbelievable if I could give zero stars I would.
