My husband went in to the Bunting Digestive Diseases office and was referred for both an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. The nursing staff was compassionate and right on top of the procedure. My husband said, "I went to sleep and then woke up, when are they going to do the procedure?" I laughed and told him he was done. The doctor gave us a thorough explanation. He'll be going back here for all his digestive needs.
My experience at Mercy Medical was a very positive one. I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and with their oncology specialist and surgeons I am alive and well going on 10 years now. Their medical group is excellent. They also provide spiritual help as well and have a beautiful chapel you can pray in.
Great hospital. My wife goes here for her GI issues. They are very responsive and skilled. They have a team-based approach, so you may get seen by multiple doctors if you're inpatient. They have doctors at all levels, so if a junior doctor doesn't know the answer, you'll probably be seen by a supervising doctor. The nurses are very kind and work quickly. There is plenty of parking. They have pastoral care that comes around to your room, which my wife likes a lot. The food here is really excellent too. I've actually taken home meals from the cafeteria. The ER can be overloaded like all hospitals in Baltimore, but once you get past that you should be good to go.
My name is Garrett I brought my mom into this hospital with stage 4 cancer the doctor completely gave up on her she was only there for a month and a half and she died in front of our eyes if you or any of your family members are in the last stage of cancer I definitely wouldn’t take them to Mercy! the nursing staff and the others under the nurses were great! but we was there for treatment and she was given a death sentence from all of the Doctors!
I went to 345 St Paul Place for a fine needle biopsy of my knee. Everything in regards to the procedure went very well. The problem and issue started when I exited the The Center of Interventional Radiology after the procedure. I approached the help/ information desk and asked one of the 3 female staff members there if a courtesy phone was available. I had not brought my cellphone. She pointed to an area where people were sitting in main lobby and stated the phone was between 2 men. Due to stage c heart failure, severe osteoarthritis in right hip and pelvic, severe COPD, CHRONIC BRONCHITIS AND EMPHYSEMA, I must use a walker to assist with my movements. I went over to the courtesy phone and attempted to dial out. Each time it would start giving me a busy signal. So I tried dialing 9 first,1 first, 0 first and nothing worked. Went back over to the courtesy desk and stated I was unable to get the phone to work. One of the employee's told me to walk down a very long corridor with a noticeable incline/slop to a yellow phone on wall. She basically had me walk over to the main building to use a courtesy phone after a painful knee procedure and then walk back. Very easily someone could have helped me with the initial courtesy phone and let me know the number 8 would have to be pressed first before dialing out. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT HELP DESK!!!
My mother in law fell right outside the front doors after we asked for someone to bring us a wheelchair. The girl behind the front desk refused and sent us to emergency to get one instead. I’m not sure who she was but she was more into scrolling on her phone and her hair instead of checking people in like she was supposed to and her red headed boss tried to cover this whole mess up. If you are not going to help people don’t sign up for the job it’s that simple That staff is disgusting and only care about covering this up so they don’t look bad.
This review is solely based on The Valet parking. Be careful because they will steal out of your car. My husband's jacket was stolen today while I was at my appointment.
The way the non Black American staff treats patients all Black in the ER is truly disturbing. I overheard a nurse say she was going to give a patient oral pain medicine instead of through his IV because she was tired of his complaining oral takes longer. Saw another nurse hurt a man in a wheelchair when she pushed without letting him get his feet up. He yelped, so she walked away. Other patients in the ER waiting room had to help him to the bathroom. I only saw Black American staff members treat patients like actual people in there.
I would give this hospital no stars if I could. They gave me a medication that gave me a seizure... When I came out of my seizure a nurse scolded me asking me if I had taken any drugs.. even though they had just giving me a shot 3 minutes prior to the seizure.... and then when they gave me my discharge papers they did not write the medication that they had given me ..and I had to go jump through hoops to figure out what they had given me so I could figure out what I was allergic to.. did not feel safe at this hospital .. I would never return and I would suggest other people be careful.. they would rather cover their own butts then tell you what medication they gave you that you could be allergic to... Make sure you look over your discharge papers before you sign them
Worst experience, and I've been here several times. This last time was for IV placement for a nutrition line. Both sides of chest couldn't tolerate their material, and supposedly the didn't have anything else and couldn't help me anymore as Dr. Sill said. Very rude. The line he put in my neck exploded a couple of days later. 3 weeks in a row coming yo have them fix this. It's been infected as I told Dr. Sill but he isn't worried. It's getting worse. I contacted patient advocate but still haven't heard back. .
