The nurses were great. Rob was the best he changed by wound bandages and no one else did. The bed side commode did not have the right pan underneath so it kept spilling. The food was terrible. There was never enough water to drink. My doctors were good. Another issue was the phone cord kept getting tangled in my iv line.
Worst Night Shift ER Desk Nurses Ever. On 10/28/22 waited 8 hours and the ones that answered true phones today 11/4/222 @ 9:28pm. I have received the worst professionalism in my life in a healthcare field. The nurse that answered the phone was rude and tried to get loud and over talk me and put me on hold mid sentence because she did not want to hear what I had to say when all I was doing was explaining what the situation was. I just wanted to know my next steps to get help. Once the second nurse answered, she transferred me to a nurse name Ruben, who in the beginning acted like he knew who transferred me over, and once I began to ask for names he placed me on hold telling me it could be extremely long before I would talk to the Charge Nurse. Which then the charge nurse didn’t even want to hear the situation and again transferred me to the “House Manager”.I explain the situation to Bob who is the house manager and he said he would call me back and give me a name. Which I don’t believe that they are going to do.I wasn’t even going to go as far as to reach out to the supervisor or to report the situation until it became a disrespectful situation. The original night that we had came to the ER we were there for eight hours and didn’t even get a room when my husband was in agony. Then was told by the doctor he would be discharged and then the nurse said it could be hours before we can get the papers and we had no choice to leave because we had children to take care of, The nurses at the desk and the ER explained that we could pick up the discharge papers and doctor note the very same day or next day and it was fine. During this visit they sat and ate joked around and played with the blood pressure cup on multiple nurses before they even checked in my husband and the only reason they did so is because I had to go and make it a point that they did not do so. It took them a hour and a half to get him registered because they were playing around. WORST ER NURSING STAFF!!!! RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, ignorant!
Went into the ER after being in a car accident and waited over 7 1/2 hours from 3pm to 10pm and did not receive any care besides a blood draw where I was poked 4 times in 3 different places. No communication from staff on what happened with my blood draw until i reached out and asked what the wait was for after 4 hours. Then waited almost another 3 hours for a CT Scan that I never received. I then decided to sign paperwork to leave the hospital because I was tired of waiting and they called my name within 2 mins to remove my IV and gave me paperwork. I would definitely not recommend this hospital for any emergencies due to lack of patient care, communication and inexperience.
This has to be the worst hospital I've been in. Had back surgery. Everything went well until they finally got me into a room. Then it went to he'll. The RN's didn't seem to know anything except how to take vitals. Didn't know how to set up a pain pump. I went a full day and night with out pain meds. It took took six different nurses to finally get it right. I could go on and on, but it probably wouldn't change anything.
I called the nurse station today and spoke with a nurse Kathy who was the nurse supposedly taking care of my elderly father. I asked her for an update on his health. She said “I don’t know, I’ve been taking care of sick patients all day and I didn’t even have lunch and barely could breathe. “ I said, my dad is sick as well and she said, “ he is not in critical condition and that I should talk to a family member mentioned by name.” I told her I just recently spoke with her and she didn’t have any updates. I asked the nurse have she talked to that family member? she said no and she don’t know when she will talk to her, probably at the end of the shift. OK… bye!”. And hung up. She was soo unprofessional and unsympathetic. It make me question , she’s over worked and her passion for the sick and concern of family members is totally absent!!! Future family members of patients at this hospital, make sure to oversee that they are getting the best service possible. Sooo saaad!!!
I’m sitting here with my sister-in-law who has cancer. I’ve been here for 4 hours and no one has come in to check on her! I went to the nurses station a couple hours ago and asked for a pillow to prop my sister-in-law up….2 hours still no pillow!! I’m so glad I’m not a patient here and I feel so bad for my sweet sis!!!
I went here in September to have my son after leaving St Catherine’s after my water broke. Had a bad experience checking in at st Catherine’s .. came here & was treated AMAZINGLY!! I loved all the doctors & medical staff!! The nurses were soo amazing with helping me & helping me with my baby as I am a first time mom. Was in labor for 30 hours.. then stayed another 3 days after my C-section ..dealt with Dr. Dominique & Dr. Tipton & both were soooo amazing !!! Definitely recommend here for labor & delivery!! They also treated my boyfriend amazingly
This review is in regards to Dr. Meldrum's office in regards to receiving paperwork after surgery to return to work. I was told on 9/19/2022 due to him being extremely busy and his assistant quitting he is too busy performing surgeries to sign a release to work letter and the office staff, specifically Evette, has no idea as to when he will sign the letter. Before his assistant quit, Jenny, she completed a return to work checklist in July 2022 1 month after surgery provided by the employer which provided a date the patient could return to work with and without restrictions. This office can fill out a checklist but can't provide a signed letter at the request of the employer releasing patient back to work. At this point the patient is being encumbered to work by this medical office. If this doctor were to quit I wonder what would happen then? Would a patient be at risk of being unemployed due to no one being able to provide return/release to work letters because only 1 doctor in this practice can sign a letter and he doesn't have time?
Great patient care by team on cardiac ICU. However, no one notified family of discharge plan and patient was sent home alone with hospital transport at 9pm! She is old and had been in hospital 8 days! Really? Who does this! Now having billing issues because charges denied. We have never had this problem before. So unsettling and discouraging.
The ICU nurses are fantastic! Step down murses are working hard but understaffed making them not look as good as they are. The place is dirty! Floors not clean for days in patient rooms. PT shows up when they want. Had to work hard to get social worker to call me back.
