I had a surgical procedure here. The environment is clean, the admin staff is professional and the medical staff was excellent. Special shout out to the Pre Op nurse for getting things done efficiently and effectively. Tanisha W. was able to pull blood from a vein that everyone in the past 27 years couldn't. Tanisha W. was so quick on the blood draw that I did not even feel it. I am grateful for her and the staff here. I would definitely go here again if I need any other medical procedures.
Today I visited Southlake Medical Center lab technician Tanisha Whitfield was awesome!!! Technician Whitfield was very knowledgeable. She is very experienced at what she does. I felt very relaxed, and I felt as though I was in very good hands. Technician Whitfield is the ultimate professional!!! We are all made to do something, I feel that the job that technician Whitfield performs is why she was put on earth you need more people like her!!!
I was with my friend’s mom in the ER to rule out cardiac situation. The facility was superb. The ER physicians Dr Solano and Dr Frenzel and all staffs were super nice, friendly, professional and efficient. We had a really wonderful experience here. Definitely highly recommend this facility.
I recently had surgery at this hospital and it was a pleasant as could be, considering the surgery experience! The hospital was very nice clean, and with pretty waiting areas, but it was the staff that I was most impressed with. All of the nurses and techs were kind and great at their jobs. They allowed me to rest as much as possible and quickly responded to any need.
I had out outpatient surgery today at MS. This is an excellent facility. It is new, clean and well maintained. But the magic ingredient is the staff, everyone from the receptionist to the nurses and doctors went out of their way to take good care of you.
My daughter had surgery this week and it required an overnight stay. I was amazed at how well run this hospital is. Every single person we had dealings with was so nice and kind. It made the experience so much better. Thank you to everyone from the lady at the front desk, so the people in the cafe to the doctors and nurses and housekeeping crew and everyone in between. Great experience. Thank you for taking such good care of my daughter.
Had a major surgery here this week. Pre op was amazing. Staff was polite and eager to make sure I was comfortable and not too nervous. Kept me informed and made sure I was included in the process instead of talking over me like I've experienced in the past at another hospital. Post op staff was attentive and very nice. I don't remember much of this part but I do remember them making sure I was comfortable and felt secure anesthesia can have an intense come down Once I was in my room it was late in the evening my nurse and tech, Josh and Friday, were professional but seemed a little indifferent. I needed a bed change but they let me sleep instead for a couple hours. Not sure if they were being courteous and let me rest or simply forgot. When I did finally wake again anesthesia is a doozy I didn't have a call button so after a few shouts I ended up finding my phone and calling the hospital to ask someone to get my nurses for me. They came and took care of business, yes and I got a call button. My nurse seemed to warm a bit and I didn't feel like a bother by the time it was shift change in the morning. 3.5 stars out of 5 points off for bedside manner and not giving a call button New nurse and tech. Mike and Dominique. Very attentive and friendly. Checked on me often and made sure I was comfortable. Mike went above and beyond to make sure I had the home equipment I needed, understood my medicines and even made sure everything was sent to an open pharmacy before I left. 5 out of 5 stars Physical Therapy. She was so nice. Very patient and understanding. Worked with me twice throughout the day and made sure I was comfortable doing the exercises on my own for when I went home. She worked diligently and got me that home equipment I needed thank you. Food. The meals were great. Very tasty and filling. Not bland and generic like I've had at some hospitals. Staff was polite and patient when ordering and delivering meals. The room was big and spacious. Didn't feel cramped. Very warm and inviting. My window was big and had a great view. I would recommend this hospital and I would use again
My comments are long overdue, but nonetheless...honest, and heartfelt being more than pleased with my experience with Methodist Southlake Hospital. My knee surgery took place on December 17, 2018. My outstanding physician, Dr Steven Sanders, whom was referred highly.....was more than skilled as I was almost one hundred percent "back to normal" after only six weeks. Dr. Sanders was professional yet warm, and personable. Was so grateful, and thankful to find he, and his wonderful office staff. A warm, and friendly greeting from your receptionist started the morning of my surgery off to a great start. Her bright smile made me smile! The surroundings were immaculate, and pleasing to the eye. Your entire nursing staff worked together as a fine-tuned machine...organized, and confident all generated by care, and kindness making me feel safe, and in "good hands." After returning home from surgery I called to request an itemized copy of my hospital visit. The young woman who took my call was Ms. Lori Brown. She was extremely friendly, and "down to earth," and happy to help me. As we talked I asked her if it was possible to have not only the statement mailed out to me, but a surgical sock. I returned home with only one of the socks. How foolish some may say.....this patient wants us to mail her a missing sock???!!! Why not just purchase another pair!!!!! What is this woman's problem?!!! Am smiling as I type this, as to how it might sound. My situation is as follows....if you have never been a full-time care giver as I have 24/7.....seven days a week...for the past nine years of an elderly parent that has dementia....how could one understand how difficult it is! Without help you must take them with you everywhere you need to go! With my private insurance costing me a little over $18,000.00 a year, and having to argue with my insurance company so many times KNOWING that I was covered for certain procedures, and their end saying that I wasn't......that sock was of little monetary value.....yet....it was the principal of the matter that held meaning to me! That little sock was PAID for. Ms. Lori Brown, was pleasant and completely cordial, and not only was my statement mailed out promptly to me.....the missing surgical sock was too. Have to smile about this one because I don't believe many would have bothered.....too much trouble. What did that show me....it showed me the character of Ms. Brown. In this big world with very little concern for others....this young lady....was the icing on the cake! Her kindness over the phone, and her willingness to save me a trip to the store with my mother showed me a lot about who she is. She is a kind human being that honestly cares about the people she comes in contact with. Your hospital should be very proud to know what a truely remarkable individual she is.....as she values how she treats your patients....your customers. What a great asset she is as her actions, and phone skills display what a hospital environment should say....."WE CARE!!!!" She is a wonderful reflection of Methodist Southlake Hospital! Ms. Lori Brown, certainly made a memorable impression on me....all your staff did. I will NEVER forget the kindness as one of the most wonderful feelings one can have.....is to feel valued. My experience will reflect my future referrals of your hospital to my friends, and family. Thank you all for making my hospital visit a stress-free, and pleasant experience. Am doing fantastic! May, The Almighty, bless each, and everyone of you as we will soon celebrate Easter. ........Because....HE lives...we can face tomorrow. Sincerely, with kindest regards, Laura B.
My son was having jaw surgery at this wonderful hospital. He had very good care from the nurses and staff. His room was enormous and it had an adjoining room for me to stay in. The rooms were like staying in a fancy hotel, except it was a hospital. The Cafe 114 had excellent food and the prices were shocking. The first day I had breakfast 2 eggs, 4 strips of bacon, hash browns, biscuit and gravy, and coffee and it was only $4.43. The lunch was very reasonable, too. I believe five of us ate for $27. Very good food and a great chef. If I ever have surgery I hope I can have it done here. They excel in excellence.
My mother was patient at this hospital for a surgery that required an over night stay. I did not know what the visiting hours were and went to visit her around 7.30 PM. Fully expecting the staff to not want me to visit since it was so late, I kept my vision directed on the ground. However, I was forced to look up and make eye contact as I was repeatedly, and kindly might I add, greeted and directed to where I needed to go. Everyone that I came in contact with had a fresh smile and look very pleased to be there. Huge plus! The design of the hospital was wonderful! It seemed as though the patients were staying in a hotel. Very new and clean. Lastly, my mother raved not only about the nurses who visited her, but also about her Dr. About how much her Dr. really took her Dr. Lopez time to sit with my mother and explain everything so that my mother understood and felt comfortable. Dr. Lopez was also said to sincerely seem to care about my mother as her patient. To make it all even more thoughtful, Dr. Lopez called, a few days after my mother was home, to see how she was feeling. I am very grateful that my mother had the opportunity to receive the medical attention and care that is so very much missed and I hope that the staff and Dr. Lopez are appreciated and awarded appropriately.
