Do. Not. Ride METRO! I’m a dc native and I recently moved to the suitland/md area. Metro buses ALWAYS have inaccurate wait times. Arrive early for your bus? It probably will arrive late. Come on time? Your bus came early so You’ve gotta Wait 30 minutes on another bus. I recommend walking instead
0 stars. They have the metro police at the wrong train station. I was coming home from work late one night and one of the employees idk what train station he came from but I’m sure it was that location was pacing back and forth, stumbling around, and talking in a slurred mumble while leering at any and every female that walked past him and talking about shooting ppl in the face. They also had men in ski mask and highly aggressive women just loitering around there’s nothing wrong with that usually but I just felt uncomfortable. It’s hard to explain, but you know when you get that feeling like something bad is going to happen? I just felt it everywhere, and I’m used to living/traveling through the hood, and this gave the vibes of a set up ngl.
It's a metro stop. Not such a good neighborhood.
Suitland metro is a run of the mill metro. Located in PG county, it serves as a bus transit hub for the area. Keep your head on a swivel in the early morning and late nights. Crime is high outside the turnstiles.
There are a lot of buses that service this Metro Station. I was going to Iverson Mall from here. I didn't have to wait too long for the P12 to Eastover. The station is normally clean. There is an upper level like a pickup or park and ride, but I'm not sure. I don't know if the station have public bathrooms. There's Metro buses, PG County The Bus, and Commuter buses here. Going to this station is a shorter ride to the mall rather than going to Southern Avenue Station and catching the P12 to Eastover!
It's the best service with excellent staff to help you where you going. Only thing is they need more transit police to control the juveniles that act up every day doing the week. I'm talking noon, rush hour, night time.
As a regular user of the Suitland metro station, I have had no significant complaints apart from some unruly people who pee around the parking garage.
It's a subway station.
I tried to use the parking garage on Friday around 12:00. And, could not get into the parking garage. I saw places to park in. I had to change an appointment time. I don't get it.
Pleasant easy to navigate attendant was very helpful.
