We love our local library. My son got to explore the play area in the back.
Loved visiting MWC and it's Library yesterday. I was telling my mom how much I hated her living by herself since Dad passed. I felt like MWC was falling apart around her but since I visited you I have changed my mind.
The library has become a daycare center for parents and /or guardians to bring their children there. Some of the customers feel entitled to bully other customers.
Had to print off some pages that were send to my phone. Process was pretty easy and the Lady at the desk helped me print them off when they didn't print the first time. Thank you
My grandson loves going to the library. It gives me an opportunity to research and take notes while he looks for books and videos.
A very nice library with great facilities and love seeing local artists having their work displayed. Comfy seating and was a warm spot to read on a frightfully cold day.
A year ago I had a bad experience with staff or the volunteers, they were judging the book by its cover and I know this to be true as I heard 3 of them chatting when they thought I was still in the restroom. Sometimes I don't have the time to go home after work and need to dash to the library before closing, and landscaping can make a person look.. well not as girlie as some, but oh well those who judge shall be judged. Have not been back due to covid.
The staff is rude/passively aggressive not necessarily all of them, not understanding of customers' issues, who are often low income and struggle with problems the staff is too ignorant to imagine or try to sympathize with and will likely never have to deal with. Typical college-educated brats that grew up comfortably in a well-off household with no perspective of the world, who get cushy government jobs with no accountability for anything they say or do like a lot of government employees, they're pretty good at enforcing the library rules on the tax-paying customers, but they themselves get to bend the rules.
Security guard was extremely rude and condescending when I arrived for book pickup. Email stated that I could pick up at the door from 6-8, I wasn’t aware of any short staffing. Really hope I have a better experience next time.
I've been going to this library since I was a very little boy. Always brings back good memories whenever I come in and borrow a few books. Hasn't changed much over the years but there's always plenty of reading material to satisfy any possible interest or curiosity. The staff have always been friendly and ever helpful. Lots of computers available. Clean, well maintained and organized library overall. Been a staple of my childhood and the Midwest City community for decades and I hope it will continue to do so for many more years to come.
