Great place for your crafting supplies and some good sales on seasonal decor, but not that much. You can find some cute stuff for weddings. They also have a public bathroom. However, I was disappointed to know they don't offer any courses ex. embroidery. They do offer some online ones. The staff was very cheerful and nice.
Got everything I needed here to decorate my graduation cap for a very good price. You are forced to sign up for a rewards account if you use self-checkout which is incredibly annoying.
Terrible customer service. Needed help in the framing dept. with the stock double mats. Asked employee if they carried the white on black double mat for 6 x 8. She replied, we have what's there. Well, thanks "Sherlock." Said that's not what I asked. I can see there are a number of empty spots in the display - I asked if you carried it, can't you look it up? It was obvious she didn't have the energy to do that. Looked the display and said "it might have been discontinued." Now, I had planned on purchasing mats and frames for 2 pictures and a frame for a 3rd. Instead, I walked out went home and ordered them from another vendor online.
I went there on Black Friday this year and I was helped by two associates. Early on in the morning I came there after being disappointed about the frame selection at Joanns. Thankfully, Tai and Connor were more than happy to offer their assistance. With their combined aid I went home with two frames for my records and a poster one. Don’t my albums look just dashing in their new home?
I went in Michael 's to buy small cute tulips in yellow. I found exactly what I want. They look perfect in three vases that I have for centerpiece on my dining room table.
I don't know where these five star reviews are coming from....maybe from their regulars? I went in looking for two small things glue sticks & glue tubes for a hot glue gun. I asked the cashier for help finding the latter item as I never shop here and I was picking up an Instacart order. She pointed to the back third of the store, and as I'm walking away goes "it could be here in this middle section too." Okay....two thirds of the store...super helpful. Looked for a few more minutes, still couldn't find them. I waved down the manager who simply points to an aisle and said "it's in aisle 11" Now, with Instacart, you're timed on how long it takes to get the stuff and I was already super behind, so I asked "can you please show me where specifically? I'm in a bit of a hurry." And she made a whole big stink about having to walk me to the item, yelling about how I needed to get the Michaels appt to avoid having to ask staff where stuff is.....this is the MANAGER telling me this. I worked in retail for 5+ years. I get it, people can be difficult, but it's your job to help the customer! So she helps me get the item and as she's walking away yells into her radio "The Instacart gentleman is all set!" But yelled it to where two people stopped and looked over at me. Embarrassing as hell! What an awful experience....do better for people who are new to your store!!!
I've shopped at Michaels many times over the years, and I like the modern store a little less than the versions from a decade ago. The current location is really tightly packed, and I made the mistake of going in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Most of the aisles are so small that they can be blocked by a person with a shopping cart, and with the number of people when I went, it was really difficult to navigate. They still seem to have plenty of crafting supplies and fake plants, as well as seasonal items. I did like that they had some self-checkout registers, as that made the line to pay move faster.
This place has a lot of good decorations for all holidays. The price is a bit high, but i guess so is everyone else now a days. I'd go back and definitely recommend it you are looking for a place that has most holiday decorations, it is easy to find. Walk in, grab what you need and leave.
Difficult to locate items sometimes. Despite this the staff is a fantastic asset to be utilized, so helpful in any situation. Kudos
Love the wide variety of hobbie items offered here and the variety of different brands for high demand items like Vinyl yarn epoxy and other crafts
