I don't know where to start! This location requires frequent cleaning outside! The elevator reeks with urine, the escalator are frequently not working, too many people smoking, and the X2 buses blocks the crosswalk to the U7 bus bay. Metro Transit is normally there especially on Fridays. The U2 bus marked Anacostia and U4 marked Navy Yard don't come into the station. There is a bus shelter outside the station near the traffic light. The U7 marked Deanwood comes to Parkside and Mayfair before going to Deanwood. Also the U7 marked Minnesota Avenue goes to Ridge Road then turns to Deanwood until 4:00 pm. The U5 and U6 ends at Minnesota Avenue Station. Wonder why our buses look like this?
I'm giving credit where it is due! Mr. Rob Sinclair, Metro employee, for doing an OUTSTANDING job in cleaning mopping the street elevator with that cherry sented solution. The odor of urine was GONE! Early yesterday morning, as I was taking the Metro to Stadium- Armory, I used the street elevator to access the train. Upon stepping into the elevator and about to hold my breath, in order to not inhale the odor of urine, I got a wonderful surprise. The elevator smelled pleasant instead. While standing on the platform waiting for the train, I saw this gentleman mopping and I approached him and asked him if he was the one who mopped the street elevator, and he said "yes". I told him that the elevator smells very good. I asked, What are you using?. He told me a solution and a cherry scented fragrance. I thanked him for a job well done. I asked him his name and he told me, Mr. Sinclair, Rob Sinclair! So I giving 5 for Mr. Rob Sinclair!
Needs major improvement of the facility. The ramp to get to the overpass is very steep, not very maintained and the children in the nearby schools as well as some adults leave trash, bodily fluids or broken glass. Must be improved during or prior to ongoing the construction of Parkside.
Close near home. Most times there is order when I am boarding buses and or trains They have been in the news here lately, But the staffers are great! Please keep our public transit safe.
The station managers are the worst!!!! All they do is sit behind a glass door, turn off the elevators even if it’s not broken which hinders every disabled person, and last but not least it would be good to build ramps
The metrorail train schedule displays are ALWAYS broken at the Minnesota Ave metro station. The main schedule display when you first enter the metro station is either wrong on time or broken. Also the the display going towards Vienna has been broken since the last 8 months. The Minnesota Ave metro station is filthy and always stinks of pee. I'm assuming since this metro station is in of the poorer neighborhoods of the city, no one pays attention to it. It's not a priority for the city officials to clean or fix it.
Born and raised in NE&Se D.C.... I love it can't say anything negative and I love how the station never changed like the rest of the city...
It's so confusing and it has a lot of traffic,,best way to go is the subway
The schools in this area has disrespectful children who use profanity at the bus stop area.
Like this if you have ever been personally victimized by the Minnesota Ave station
