Everyone showed compassion. Michelle was always on top of everything which made this process easier on my family. The attendants were very professional and courteous. My mom was in good hands.
Michelle was wonderful. She helped me and my sister to coordinate our mothers funeral. She made things 100x better and honestly without her being so sweet and patient with us, I’m not sure if we would have been able to do it anywhere else. Thank you Michelle! Vanessa & Mercedes
My family and I had to make the final arrangements for our amazing mom. Although making all the decisions was difficult, D’Ann Alvarez funeral director was so helpful and kind. She was so understanding and sympathetic to the fact that we lost our mom. As I sat in the room with my Dad and 2 other sisters, I felt like D’Ann sincerely cared about us. At first she asked us what we wanted and expected for our mom. We made the arrangements, set the dates and times. After our first meeting I felt like we made the plans how mom wanted them. Since I was our family’s single point of contact, I was in constant contact with D’Ann. D’Ann’s professionalism and kindness was beyond what I expected from a funeral director. Every time I asked a question, D’Ann always responded. Thank you D’Ann, you are a blessing!!! On the 1st service day, I arrived at the earliest time for the immediate family. When I saw my mother in the casket yes, it was difficult & emotional she looked beautiful and perfect! The evening viewing service went as planned and the night time staff were professional and awesome. The next morning we had one more service and then to the interment service. I can look back at this time of sorrow and say everything went as planned, because the staff at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel truly cared about my family. My family is extremely grateful to D’Ann the funeral director, she handled our loving mother’s funeral with incredible care. She took care of the smallest detail. Very professional and so caring. We will always be grateful for such finesse. Thank you so much.
Sorry it took me so long to write this review. But here it goes we lost our mom in 2017 one of the hardest things we had to go through, little that we knew two of our brothers would past away back to back right after the passing of our mom, man when it rains it pours but with the help of D'Ann and all the staff it made it a lot easier, D'Ann made us feel like family, 2017, 2018, 2019 was not good years for our family.Thank you yall Arriaga/Hernandez family
The funeral director that helped with the arrangements of my mothers funeral was very condescending to me and my family. She wasn't helpful at all with the preparations. She was very rude to the pall bearers because some were confused as to what to do. I wouldn't have had the service here however dealing with the loss we wanted to get it over with. I do not recommend this place whatsoever. I did attend my uncle funeral in pflugerville and it was nothing like what I experienced. The people were compassionate there. This place shows zero compassion and appears to be racist towards hispanics.
With never having to plan a funeral before.. D' Ann Was there every step of the way! From the minute we walked into the doors till this day even after having service there. She is still available to answer any questions we have! D'Ann made everything easy for us and helped us so much with picking out arrangements to be patient with us on timing and all. And even though it was a very emotional process to go through she also made she for us to laugh and share memories of my mother in law with her! Thank you again D' Ann from the Davila/Costilla family!
Was a very sad time for me. My loved one was laid to rest by this funeral home. For me it felt surreal because one one end I was dealing with a traumatic experience and on from another end, it felt like we were made to shop for something very personal. The staff here were OK for the most part. I just think something got lost along the way on this funeral process for me besides my loved one. And in the viewing, my loved one was not made to look the best the person could have been made to look as it was our very last time we saw the body.
My sister, Crystal Flores, and I want to thank D'Ann Alvarez and the Mission Funeral Home family for their caring, understanding, compassion and heartfelt care during the time of our dad's passing. D'Ann helped us with all the arrangements for our daddy's memorial service...fielding numerous phone calls, attending meeting with my sister Illiyana and speaking words of encouragement to us when things seemed to be overwhelming us. She was there for Daddy and us in November 2016 when Mission Funeral Home provided a memorable funeral for our mother Cordelia Flores. It was during our mother's funeral preparations that our Daddy shared with D'Ann and asked her to remember how he wanted his final arrangements to be and she remembered. Thank you for remembering D'Ann! Crystal and I want to say thank you for the wonderful professional caring of Mission Funeral Home and their ace employee and now our friend D'Ann Alvarez.
