Description

Monroe County Courthouse is a historic county courthouse located at Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The original section was built in 1890, and is a three story, ashlar sandstone and limestone building measuring 65 feet wide and 180 feet long. It is in the Romanesque Revival style. An identically sized addition was built in 1934, as a Public Works Administration project.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

2:25pm, Thurs, Dec 30, '21 - Current hours are posted on front entrance to courthouse stating it's open however, courthouse is closed, no employee is visible thru glass entrance doors, no notice stating Closed, no telephone number to call, and on website, nobody answers the phone in the sheriff's department. On the website, pdf form for applying for concealed weapon does not load. Shame on current county administration.
I came here for my passport renewal and for my CCW permit as the Monroe County sheriff's office is here. The staff helpful were helpful in both cases at answering questions and providing timely service. After a quick run through a metal detector, you can go where you're needed. The building's exterior is beautiful. There is ample parking nearby.
Hire an attorney outside of Monroe county, never take the plea here. If your innocent and broke and can’t afford to go to trial find a way to get the money, sell everything you own, do not listen to their lies about summary judgements, they will absolutely ruin your life. Fight fight at this corrupt courthouse. Then move the hell out of PA.
I spent most of the past 5 years in shock over what these people put me through. I expect to be fully compensated for everything and the people who hurt me put away and their property seized. Long story short is I was hurt bad by really sick people in Rock Ledge Estates and the police only helped the bad guys in every way. The prosecutors refused to go after the perps and instead tried to charge me with whatever made up stuff they could. Cops even threatened me and I had to leave. Monroe county and the state of PA owe me billions + interest. I need to pay an army to clear out the gangs, and I need to build public service centers.
Called and explained in detail my situation and they told me to come in and file the appropriate paperwork. Went in and spoke with another person again going into detail and they told me to file as well. I spent $150 to file. I was then denied because my situation and said i could not file that and the people i spoke with were incorrect. I was unable to get any of my money back.
I came into the prothonotary office on the 3rd floor to file my second appeal for my property assessment. For the average person there is a mountain of paperwork and legal forms to fill out. I received minimal help with my questions and filling out the forms. Both women who spoke with me were rude, unhelpful and short. Almost like I was inconviencing them with my questions. It was like pulling teeth to get the information I needed. Also, to make copies there it’s 25 cents a page- what a rip off. I suggest calling first, finding out what you need and bringing whatever copies or forms you need from home or the library!
I have been in the court house a lot of times, seems that the consi liators and judges never read and study the cases before you get there.I already had very bad experiences with custodial cases. The consiliators never give you a chance to explain yourself.They really don't care what happens to the children after you leave the courthouse. There should be an investigation about what is going on in that courthouse. Iam willing to speak up in front of the District Attorney. I know this is never going to happen,in this town is not what you know is who do you know. Let's see if we can get the District Attorney to get involved,Iam tired to see what is going on. Let investigate the judges and consiliators in the children custodial cases. Thanks Luz Lopez.
Everyone here is in a bad mood and does not like their jobs. If they call you then you better answer cause you will never get anyone on the phone to speak with them about a case that is going on. If at all possible do not deal with that courthouse or the community!!

One of the worst courthouse ever there's no justice is this about money and all type of racism in that place filled with a lot of corruption and greed and selfishness this place need to be shut down and condemned
