The Morehouse College Undergraduate Law Journal (MCLJ) is a student run publication that seeks to strengthen and reinforce the Pre- Law ethos at Morehouse.

The law journal will consist of both professional and student written publications. Each journal will consist of roughly seven articles – the distribution of which will be approximately five student and two professional. Students will write articles that examine current laws and legal precedents, identify problems within their applications, and propose appropriate solutions to them.
In addition, students will be encouraged to develop arguments and write critiques of current legal policies and philosophies present in today’s legal field. Using a network of professors, attorneys and judges, submissions to the MCLJ will undergo intensive bluebook editing processes, aimed at identifying and producing the seven best student written entries, per semester. Each article will adhere to the industry standard of 8-12 pages, double-spaced, in length, and will be published bi-annually (one journal in the fall, and one in the spring).
The Morehouse College Undergraduate Law Journal (MCLJ) is a student run publication that seeks to strengthen and reinforce the already strong Pre- Law ethos at Morehouse College. The journal will provide students interested in post secondary law careers a platform to explore legal topics relevant to the scope of black college, all the while cultivating skills in legal writing, legal research and bluebook editing.
As the first and only undergraduate law journal to be established on the campus of a Historically Black College (HBCU), MCLJ will accept submissions from other HBCU’s and surrounding colleges within the greater Atlanta area with aspiring writers.
