The customer service was excellent. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and accommodating. My group went to the hotel spa, which I highly recommend! The gift shop was awesome also. Very affordable prices. Also, the food in the food court was shockingly good for a food court. There isn't much walking distance to the hotel, but Uber only costs about $10 to get to fun walking areas. Would go back again, especially for the spa!
Remember to use HoteIDully.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :! This hotel is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for years. If you choose this place you won't be disappointed. Rooms are a little dated but still nice. Staff ALL were so nice and helpful though no one told us we needed a card to get in elevator to go to 16 for a wedding. Thankfully we went up with others, but our rooms were allegedly not ready til 4pm. At 345 they assigned one and seemed like they had many. It caused more work in and out but wasn't the end of the world.
My husband and I have stayed here a couple times and it has definitely gone down hill a bit. Our room was not cleaned very well as there were wrappers still on the floor and some crumbs on the dresser. The carpet needs a serious cleaning. My pillowcase was torn and there were some stains on the sheets that seem permanent. I’m disappointed that the shower did not have a shelf to set our shower items. We had to set them on the floor of the shower. Such a simple thing to include for convenience. Also, the only outlet available to charge anything was in the middle of the room so we had to set our things on the floor. The outlet connected to the clock did not work. There was no microwave in our room and the quality of the buffet is evident they made price cuts on the food to save money. You’re better off paying that price at a restaurant outside of the hotel with better food.
We decided to stay at the hotel when we booked tickets to a show at the Sound Board. Upon entry to our room, we immediately noticed how dirty the room was. Upon further investigation, we found stained pillow cases, comforter, and sheets. The carpet had a large white, crusty stain. I was not interested in learning more about the carpets history. We pulled back the sheets on the bed and found numerous small black spots on the mattress. Google notes these small black spots are likely fecal spotting from bed bugs. We found a new hotel and went to the front desk and firmly stated we will not be staying in the hotel tonight due to what we have seen. The cleanliness of our room was not an isolated incident, it is a systems problem at the hotel. The manager was called and asked if there was anything they could do, again we firmly stated no. The manager refunded our money “just this once” which was acceptable to us, as we will never stay at the hotel again.

You couldn't just play lower values. Couldn't find beverages though if paying cash could hit a button for alcoholic beverages at machine. Looking a little run down but cool. Store was cute. Not a lot of food choices open or with light dishes or healthy.
The room was spacious and clean with nice amenities. The location is also good with free parking and shuttles to the sports complex. However the dining choices are very poor and there are very few alternatives within walking distance.Rooms: 5/5
I only reserved a room once, and it was a gorgeous smaller room, with a beautiful view looking at downtown. The lobby area is well kept and and the guest services was courteous and easy to work with. The location is great, since you don’t have to leave the property, there’s neighborhoods north, west and south of the property, and a few basic stores north, and more neighborhood restaurants, and some things south.
The room has a very poor AC unit that barely kept it at 72 degrees. Could hear everything in the hallway, including someone being arrested, who apparently disagreed with this action. Amenities were stocked and of good quality. Room service was decent although they didn't accommodate taking things like tomato off a burger. Location wasn't to far from areas or interest. Unable to comment on the music clubs or entertainment for the night. Seems like a small casino floor and mostly the robot type table games. The sports betting area was to be expected with a million TV's and everyone staring at their phone. Rooms: Stayed in single king room, bathroom was stocked with quality amenities including a robe, slippers, and many towels and face cloths.
Awesome place to visit, except if you stay at the hotel for a week, which I did. They do not offer great room cleaning for days. And by the time they do clean your room it is almost time to leave. You pay extremely a lot of money for your room, but NO ONE cleans your room. Don't ask questions about why they don't clean your room. Because they say you sign a sheet at the beginning of your stay that said they clean after 3 days of you being there. But they don't even clean it THEN. No worries they will clean it after you leave. What a JOKE. Shame on you Motor City hotel Casino. This was a hard one to write and give stars for. Rooms: Rooms are nice, but TERRIBLE cleaning service for the money you are paying.
The service was outstanding. All employees from the security guard to the waitress in the buffet room to the janitors. They we're all nice, polite and ready to help. Our waitress was Carla she was adorable, soft spoken and very patient. We went to See Jon B and the show was amazing . After 30 years he still sounds like silk. We had a fabulous time. Food & drinks: We had the buffet, $45 per person. I don't usually eat buffet style foods not everyone washes their hands, but this was fresh and they had different varieties! I was able to eat my gluten free options and it was delicious. Non alcoholic drinks are served in the dining area. They do not serve alcohol in the dining area. The tables were spaced out well for comfort post- COVID life.
