A trail to the highest point on Fidalgo Island, with great views of the surrounding islands and water. Some of the best views are on the hike to the top, so I’d recommend parking around here, and hiking the last mile to the top.
Just like the picture shows, beautiful views and you can drive to the top but parking is extremely limited.
Short little stroll uphill on cement stairs from another viewpoint. Stairs can be will be mossy and slick. There is a bench to sit and watch the sunset if you get the timing right. First pic is June 2022. Second pic is from 2021 on Easter Sunday.
A workout going up a bit worth the payout. Walked the paved road coming down for a quick exit but definitely want to do it again. Did both Sugarloaf easy climb and Mt. Erie.
About as close as you get to a mountain on the islands in the Puget Sound, this little peak has amazing views and a surprising number of trails. Definitely a beautiful spot to look over the sound, the Skagit flats, and the water.
Dont go off trail, I found myself in an near impossible situation where I was halfway down rockface facing lake erie and the trail if you could call it that ended and I had to climb back up it was terrifying, if you stay on trail its beautiful, I tried to call my parents to say goodbye that's how scared I was but no signal, anyway do what your skill level can do i was overwhelmed overmatched
Absolutely beautiful spot. Lots of rocky climbing parts that are fun for kids and super easy walk up. But — please watch young children very closely as there’re shape drop-offs all around. Highly recommend!
SPECTACULAR! Well worth the hike or the drive up, just be aware that there is limited parking up top on weekends! Amazing views, the best of the PNW as far as the eye can see.
Great trails, confusing number of trails highly recommend a trail map for the area, standard topo would not be helpful Only restroom at summit, but great views! Restrooms: One portable at summit
You can hike all day on this beautiful ACFL and it fits all hiking levels! You can me it leisure hike with your kids or simply add time to make it more challenges to your level. You can hike all day here if you have time to burn!
