Mudcat Charlie's Seafood Restaurant, Darien, Ga

Everything was awesome! We had a group of 20+ softball girls and families come in between games on a Saturday. We scored a back private room, and the views of the water were amazing. Such a cool restaurant! The service was great, especially with no notice of such a large party. Everything came out together, and we always had refills. The food was very good, from the different seafood, to the burgers, and everything in between. Salads were very fresh with crisp veggies. Great time. We will be back!

Heading north, we googled a place to eat and this gem popped up! You would never know this place is literally under 10 mins off the highway. We sat at the bar as there were a lot of large parties and we just wanted to be in and out. After being greeted by Carrie who was awesome by the way!, we took a peek at the menu and went with their crab soup and Brunswick stew to start. Both were fantastic and full of flavor! Then we decided to split the blackened shrimp skewers with green beans & house made onion rings. The hush puppies were definitely scratch made, hot and delish! Everything was just yummy and hit the spot! Atmosphere reminded us of Cheers, like a local favorite, and a warm and cozy place. The views were awesome around sunset time and overall a very good time!

Came to this place with a group. A vegetarian was with us. The general manager came out to greet the vegan. He fixed a special plate for the vegan and made sure that all of our food was good. This was one of the best experiences.

A fish camp style restaurant not too far off I-95 near Brunswick. We had the Gator Tail bites as an appetizer and the Mudcat Platter. There was plenty of food for the two of us photo only shows half. Gator was exceptional. Oysters were very tender. The snow crab was the best I've had. We're not it this way too often but we will definitely make a point to come back!

The food is generally really goodoften worth the wait, the atmosphere of pretty sweet, and sunsets are perfect. It’s a southern fish camp with the slowest service in the entire world. Everyone is friendly and welcoming but do not expect to spend less than an hour here. Crab stew is a delicious appetizer that takes very little time to arrive so order that if you need a bite in the first 30 minutes that you are there. Otherwise, plan to wait forever and a day for your food. Your server will be great and apologetic but has no power to get you anything out of the kitchen with any reasonable speed. Great spot to stop by land or sea. Just arrive with a pack of crackers in your pocket.

We had a wonderful time eating dinner here. Sat at the bar, and the bartender was on point. He knew a lot about the area and history of Darien. Shrimp was delicious. We even saw a local alligator who's a frequent visitor when people bring back their fish catch of the day. This is one of the few restaurants that will cook up your catch.Food: 4/5

Awesome, hole in the wall, off the beaten path restaurant. Start with wonderful staff. Michelle W was great. Then fresh brewed iced tea. Fried Oysters, grilled asparagus and stir fried veggies. Then top it off with a piece of key lime pie. Yummmmmm Parking: Large gravel, grass parking lot Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome

the snow crab legs are excellent and the service and the view. Fresh seafood all year round!Food: 4/5

We had an array of items of the appetizer menu and holy wowzers, it was phenomenal. We had the boiled shrimp, blackened shrimp, crab balls A+, gator tail, and hush puppies. Every one was like eating glory out of a plastic basket.

Found this gem on vacation. Sat out on the porch. Best steak I've had in a loonnnng time. Shrimp, scallops and veggies all great and large portions. Don't let the tableware fool you!!! The only thing I'd skip was the Brunswick stew. It was oddly sweet.Food: 5/5
