A good morning activity for littles under 4. Recently visited new location and it's a really lovely place for kids to create freely with unlimited art materials- how awesome! The staff is so wonderful helping guide the children through different projects and it wasn't too overcrowded on a Saturday morning. Parking is challenging. Take BART if you can. There's ample space for strollers and a changing table in the bathroom. $7 pp, free for under 1.
New location at 12th Street BART commercial center. mocha has lots of great art options, very creative and you can easily come away with presents for the family courtesy of your kids' efforts. It can be a little confusing finding them now since the area is filled with one-way streets. at least there's ample parking as the garage structure is right behind where mocha is located. Unfortunately a little bit pricey as one would expect with parking in the middle of downtown.
Brightly lit, clean and fun space for families to explore, express and utilize Artistic creativity.Visited onPublic holiday
Mocha is amazing. The program is a community blessing. Thank you, Mr. Fortune for taking the time and energy to explain all the work and what the museum has to offer. I look forward to my next visit.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure

Fun and safe place to bring your kids, new theme every time. Adults pay for entry as well regardless if you will be making something too. Also there are areas you can sit and have lunch or eat snacks. Bring some paper bags with you if you want to take your art home. If not, kindly ask for some and they will be happy to provide some. Friendly and knowledgeable staff as well. I always have a good time, kids do too :
The creativity of children is so inspiring. Their art speaks for itself.
My daughter and I love this place! They change the art theme once a month and there are different stations with many activities. This is not only for kids, as I have seen many adults getting much into the art making along with the kiddos. Staff is very friendly and helpful. New location is in a shopping center with a bunch of restaurants around! Only part that sucks is parking, super hard to find!
Open studio was a godsend! Two little ones 4 and 6. Getting out of the hotel and spending a few hours watching their little brains got to town on multiple mediums, including Legos was great. I suggest coming here when kiddos need some room to play without a screen.
As a nanny of many years, and having experienced a variety of art spaces for kids, what sets MOCHA apart is the opportunity for structured OR unstructured creativity, which makes it accessible to all ages from toddlers on up. From the beautiful and light-filled space, to the kind and happy folks who work there, to the upbeat music playing, to the awesome artwork we get to bring home, MOCHA is just so great!
