The Muslim Student Association (MSA) at Purdue is an active student organization for Muslim Boilermakers who hail from all parts of the world. MSA conducts a number of social, educational, outreach, and community service events during the Fall and Spring semesters. Its biggest outreach program is called the "Islamic Awareness Week" (IAW) and is normally conducted once a year. During the IAW, Muslims students share information about their faith, practices, and culture with the fellow students through various events. Famous speakers and scholars are also invited to give talks on important topics related to Islam.
The goal of MSA at Purdue University is to provide a platform to all Muslim students of Purdue and residents of Greater Lafayette where they can socialize, share their rich culture, help each other, participate in community service projects, and keep connected with Islam and learn more about it.
The Muslim Student Association at Purdue University seeks to serve as a representative body of Muslims on campus, which will do its utmost to cater to their needs, while representing true Islamic faith by spreading awareness and creating an integrated and contributing body within the campus community.
