Beautiful place. I got married there and the museum and historic buildings are awesome. The tour guide was very informative.
My mother and I stopped in for a tour and the lady that greeted us was just terrific. She stopped her work on the yard and helped us get set up inside to do a self-guided tour in there, then she met us at the front to take us into each of the buildings nearby. The Myra Museum is a neat building in itself and the exhibits inside are full of examples and information about life in the Red River Valley. The flood information was fascinating and we liked the oxcart too. They have several REALLY interesting buildings that you can walk into and look around. The post office had a full bank of post boxes and teller window. The gas station is just amazing and we loved the schoolhouse too - it reminded my mom of her school as a child. The grounds are gorgeous with flowers and a nice curved sidewalk leading to each building and the tour guide was knowledgeable, but didn't overwhelm us with info. She gave us some info and then let us ask questions, which we liked. For only $8, the tour was a real value. They had restrooms in the museum and parking in the shade. The only negative was a distracting beeping noise in the building the entire time we were walking around, it may have been an alarm or something and I'm sure it was temporary. All in all, a great stop that I and my mom would both recommend.
Great tourist spot. Open during the summer from 1-5 pm. Good spot to take photos.
We love to go to the history rocks every year. Me and my kids love history in general. Lots of different cars to look at this year and some of the displays were changed for 2023Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5

Awesome car show. Music by Kenny and the Classics was cool! We need to visit more often to see our local history up close.

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and great with our kids. The site is incredibly well maintained and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. A top notch operation.
