The Nacogdoches Treatment Center is a nonprofit organization supported by the local community through donations, memorials and Nacogdoches County United Way. Funding is also received from Area Agency on Aging and grants through the TLL Temple Foundation. The Center provides a Day Activity Program for individuals with Alzheimer's Disease or some other form of dementia. The program is M-F 10 to 2. The program is designed after a social model with age appropriate activities. A weekend respite is provided for clients one weekend a month. Support groups for caregivers is available at noon on the second and last Thursday of the month. Limited transportation is provided.
