I would give zero stars, due to the portion size they give you for takeout. We spent $79.64 on a combination dinner takeout. I would never order takeout from any restaurant. From portion size, price, and customer service went down since covid-19. Besides that, the food was good, especially the garlic noodles. Oh. Not to mention I ordered extra Garlic noodles $3.50. Portion size small!!
Got here early to avoid the crowds. Was seated immediately and waitress took our drink order quickly. Drinks came in a timely fashion and soon the meso soup and house salad with ginger dressing was served. I ordered the shrimp and red snapper plate. Great fun watching the chef cook everything in front of us. The snapper didn't have much flavor, but the shrimp were big and juicy. All in all a nice night and dinner out.
My husband and I went for lunch today only to find out it was take out only until 4:30. We were looking forward to hibachi food, so we went ahead and ordered take out. The lunch prices were just as steep as dinner, and they don’t even offer you a table to sit down and eat at… not to mention there was one light on in the entire restaurant. The food has no flavor, and they only give one sauce per person, so no help there. I would not recommend wasting your money on this place. We will never go back.
The food was good but the food comes on a buffet style plate. The food serving is very small and not worth the money. You would have a better time going to the buffet directly across the way.
The place has great food and a sushi bar. The food is delicious. Probably the best place around the university area to find good Japanese food.
At first all was good. Then when we asked to be seated they had no space for us to see them cook. This was the first red flag , then we got seated we had to get basically takeout food. Second red flag, when we finally got our food it was dry and our drinks were not carbonated and very flat another RED FLAG. Finally our waiter forgot almost everything we asked for when the place was not packed. I don’t understand why this was so bad, eat at your own risk food was not filling at all. Come if ready to not enjoy. Ps the plates where never taken up not even when we got more food.
Chef was good prepared lobster incredibly not dry perfect seasoning and steak perfect. Noodles a little disappointing had more black pepper than I've ever had before. Also didn't care to pay extra for friend rice. In the big picture not a big deal. Over all pretty good.
The wait staff were very friendly to our party of 9 that booked a reservation the same day. Be sure your party knows that they will want everyone to be there prior to seating. The food was well cooked though the person that had sushi instead of hibachi said it was perfectly fine but not their favorite. Vegetarian options: The hibachi does offer a vegetable or vegetable and tofu option. Parking: Parking is available in front and on the sides of the building.
You need a reservation for hibachi. One of the ladies at the front desk is very screechy and condescending if you don't have one. The servers are very nice and try to be as attentive as possible, but clearly they are overworked and understaffed. Soup is just hot water that vaguely tastes like onion, and salad was wilted, soggy and brown. Only serving thigh meat chicken, and the noodles are just spaghetti noodles. It's edible, but quality doesn't reflect the price. The "show" is hit or miss, depending on which chef you get. Usually I come for sushi and drinks and sit at the bar. But the sushi quality has gone down lately, and the fun and attentive bartender they had for years is no longer there. Now it seems they just pull servers over to run the bar, and they just don't have the experience necessary, although they try their best. Sad. I used to really enjoy the bar/sushi and now there's no redeeming qualities at all about this place, and unfortunately I won't be back. There's better, elsewhere, for less.
I recently had dinner here, the food was good but at the end of dinner I ask for a ginger ale to go. I was provided with my drink but when I got home I realized my to-go cup was used - a kid had bit on my cup. Yikes!
