Good staff. Clean environment. However, they definitely need to remodel. It's old and outdated. I love that they have ovens in the rooms. Pretty cool! Wish they offered more streaming channels. Their wifi sucks though... could barely connect to my lap top. Other than that spent 2 nights here and the weather was nice, enjoyed opening the windows!
The place smelled like urine, there were blood stains on my shower curtain and the room smelled moldy with stains on the carpet. They moved my room three times and it took me saying it was an emergency after all the issues to get the property manager Jim or at least that's what he said his name was, to come and speak with me. I've stayed in comfort inns that were nicer and the management was definitely better. By far my worst hotel experience ever and I traveled 10 months last year if that gives you an idea! Do yourself a favor and pick another hotel and you're welcome!
This was the worst Marriott property that I have ever stayed at and probably the worst hotel all around. I am a lifetime Platinum member of Marriott so I have been to many. Although the front desk clerk was courteous, he barely acknowledged me on arrival and spoke very little. The room we received was extremely dated, the floor was sticky, the furniture was questionably clean, the hair dryer had been torn out of the wall - holes were still there - and not replaced, no hangers in the room when we arrived and one door was missing from the kitchen sink while the other was hanging loose on the hinges. This room should never have been rented to anyone! We checked out without staying the night.
I am a frequent traveler and switched from Hilton to Marriott several years ago based on advice from fellow associates. I have been happy with that decision. All Marriott properties have been top-notch until yesterday. The hotel was a nice area, and the check-in process was professional, but things quickly went downhill from there. The issues are many, but I will list a few. As soon as we stepped into the hotel, it was apparent that it was far from the Marriott standard. When we got to our floor, there was a smelly, overfilled trash bin at the elevator and it was still there this morning. The doors were all scuffed leading to our room. Upon entering our room, there was a strong marijuana odor throughout the room. There was white powder on the carpet around the room to kill bugs?, stains all over the furniture and rugs, and the kitchen had many defects. There were many more issues, and my wife took pictures. We rarely complain and decided to "deal with it" since it was just one night. Simply put, the hotel is a mess and needs to be updated.
Hopefully the new management will do better, but our experience last night was not a Marriott experience. The floors were not clean with trash on multiple rooms, no mattress pads, a bug in the sheets, chair was falling apart, couldn't open closet, beds were uncomfortable on the soft unsupportive side, lights didn't work, didn't have soap, pool was closed. The room layout was great and it ended up being fine, but not a great start.
This hotel was shocking, for having the Marriott name attached... hard to believe. We have stayed in TownePlace Suites in other states, this hotel hands down was the worst we have stayed in. I try to not leave negative reviews, but people should know what they are walking into prior to booking a room we booked through a third party. We trusted the name "Marriott" and will never do that again. I know it can be hard to find employees right now, but man, was this disappointing for the amount of money we spent. Before we even got to the room, we instantly noticed that pool was closed, cover and all, sealed up tightly. This was not advertised on their website. After seeing the state of the hotel, I am glad the pool was not open. We have stayed in some small cities, in various types of motels, and I would for sure say that this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. 1. Hotel Hallways wreaked of smoke, hotel elevator had a urine smell to it. Pets were allowed in this hotel which is great, I love dogs! so maybe some dogs peed in the elevator? It was carpeted so..... There were no smoking signs everywhere, I do not think people much cared. There was trash piles at the exit doors in extreme heat, had a beautiful stench to also linger. Cig butts were everywhere outside. 2. The room cleaning left much to be desired, dust on ceilings and walls. The room looked beat up, like it was need of repair. The shower felt like it was going to cave in, almost like it was buckling at the bottom. The walls next to the shower were caved in and looked to be very poor repairs done. To be honest, I feel like camping outdoors in a tent would have provided cleaner space. 3. Windows were left open in the room, it was like 95 degrees outside. It look almost 24 hours for the room to cool down. 4. The room felt very outdated, the fridge was boosted up from the floor on planks of wood. The room had two microwaves, because one was busted. The counter that separated the kitchen from the living room was so dirty, things set on it actually stuck to it. Overall, I would suggest finding another space to stay. I would also hope Marriott takes a look at this hotel and figures out how their name is attached to this space.
I have stayed at this particular locations a few times and was a bit disappointed in my most recent time. The staff was great, very friendly, but the accommodations can use a real upgrade. It does not feel like a Marriott property. Outdated fixings. The leather had completely peeled of the desk chair. The bathroom needs to be redone, but the tub absolutely need to be done. I don’t choose this particular brand for luxury, but I have stayed at plenty of TownPlace suites and felt a little luxurious. The did offer complimentary mini waters. But the concession pickings were slim. The breakfast was grab and go food. They had a really good selection of cereals, breakfast sandwiches, juices, and yogurt. The breakfast helped make the stay better. Once they remodel a bit I think I will be up to Marriott standards again.
If I could give no stars I would. Staff here definitely does not live up to the Marriott name. Had multiple small cockroaches in my room, room smelled like urine and the kitchen was very dirty and stained. Carpet was stained, room smelled like cigarettes and stale mold. Staff didn’t care either kinda just shrugged it off and was nit able to move rooms. Well done Marriott
The check in staff and front desk staff were very nice and friendly. Very helpful etc... However the room was advertised as a complete kitchen. It had a very old stove but no pots, pan, baking sheet, silverware, or spatula etc. We had to ask for things to cook with in our full kitchen. Also had to ask for extra towels and the place was kind of dirty and very run down. Really sad from a property perspective but very nice staff. I just hope that it actually was cleaned properly.
Worst Marriott I've ever stayed in. Reserved a 2 bedroom suite for my family of 4 & the staff was courteous but the room was terrible. Very strong marijuana smell, the toilet about came out of the floor & it felt like bugs were crawling on us. We left the 2nd night & got another hotel. No refunds per their policy but I will speak to Marriott about that
