4.5 Okay I have been a few times now, super cute park! I love all of the shorter trails, and there’s one 2.6mi trail, and one 5mi trail if you wanted a longer trail. The views are awesome, it’s not very difficult, occasional hills. But overall, a very nice place to come walk/jog/run/kayak/fish/and just be outside.
Location location location. And for a reasonable price. C loop is the most quiet with the other loops experiencing more highway noise. The campground could be a little better maintained but it is still a good place to stay while exploring the historic triangle. Playground: Large and well kept playground Restrooms: Could use some deep cleaning Dog-friendliness: Our puppies loved the walks and the smells
One of the greatest local parks in the area. Bike path, trails, rivers scenic overlook, lots of pathways. Only had time for a quick glimpse will go back and investigate further. Nice riverfront Park with paddle boats and canoe rental. Bike paths with bridges lots of area for all ages.
NN Park is a wonderful family friendly park with a super easy trail. The cute discovery center allows children to get acquainted with the local animals. The bathrooms in the center are very clean. The main trail, 2.6 miles long, is extremely easy to walk. Definitely worth visiting for a nice hike in the woods.
Went for a morning walk it was foggy out but I was able to take some really nice pictures. Budding photographers would like this spot to take some nice pictures of nature. Finding parking is easy the trails are kept.
Really nice quiet city park that is surrounded by trees and nature. Dog friendly for campers but make sure you bring proof of rabies vaccine. It's a little nerve-wracking pulling in because the path getting to your site is kind of narrow if you have a larger rig. They have a really nice playground and a nice dock that you can fish off of. Be prepared to catch turtles though because we caught more turtles than fish. They have lots of nice trails that you can go hiking on that are nice and easy. Check out time is noon which is nice because you don't have to hurry out. It's a really enjoyable park if you're looking to relax and do some hiking. Playground: Really nice playground that is suitable for ages 5-12. Has swings, tire swing, climbing equipment and slides. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly park. Lots of pups there with their families. Be sure you have proof if rabies vaccine with you.
Not too crowded i love the white oak trail the park rangers are constantly patrolling the area and you may see some does or fawns watching you as you walk
Absolutely love this park, my go to place. Different things to do for all age groups, hiking, paddle boating, canoeing. Park offers several play grounds and picnic tables/shelters. Playground: Park has several different playgrounds, scattered throughout . Restrooms: Several restrooms located throughout the park, nice and clean. Picnic area: Lots of picnic areas and shelters.
I love walking the trails. So peaceful and beautiful.
Great campground. reliable 50 and 30 amp power. serene setting and large sites. many sites can handle large rigs. a must in this area.
