Riverview Farm Park

We love this place. I love how inclusive it is for all ages. My daughter is 1, and she is able to go on plenty of equipment. The only downside is that no one seems to pick up after themselves or their animals.

Work out here pretty regularly, there are several accommodations as far as playgrounds and game fields. A small skate park is also available. Different areas are available for reservations with regards to outdoor parties. For anyone curious, each walking loop is a mile long and 1.5 miles if you combine the two. Dog-friendly as well, haven't seen any issues with pets on and off the leash. Really wish they'd put in a workout station for pull-ups and dips, wouldn't take much to construct such a thing. Restrooms: Large restrooms available near the playgrounds.

Awesome park! We love the animals, the trail, and the playground. I'm sure the peacock in this photo is famous lol. I support it and we will definitely return!

My kids and I love this park. Not only is it close to home but probably the best park in the city. Walking/bike path, skate park, shelters, multiple playgrounds, butterfly garden, open fields, and soccer fields. Bathrooms are pretty clean for such a used facility. Looking forward to the scenic overlook opening again.

This is a great place for our citizens to enjoy the facility and stay healthy. It is an amazing place. It was over 85 degrees outside today and a ground keeper was still working outside and a park ranger was still making his rounds. I have so much love and respect for these city of Newport News Parks and Recs employees who were working very hard to keep this place nice and safe for everyone to enjoy. Thank you so much :

I really like this park. I Appreciate the safest space for the children to play their soccer games and just be children. One and adult level,the rest of the park is okay.

Shade, lots of seating, and picnic tables under a shelter. Lots of playground equipment in a circle around the picnic area, so it is easy to watch all ages kids everywhere from the picnic tables. My kids never wanna leave. It is not fenced in but plenty of room between roads. Bathrooms are clean and big. Waterfountains are useable

We love this park. It’s something to do for all ages because the park is big with two sides one for the little kids and older kids. They even have a nice trail you can walk or run on.

This park is great for walks/hiking with wide and flat paved trails. Dog friendly. This maybe the cleanest park in Newport news. Restrooms and water fountains are also available. The kids playground is large with grills and seating.

What a BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN, park with so many different areas for kids to play, families to sit and enjoy, picnic or take a stroll. We found it searching on Google and decided to take the kids for some fresh air on Memorial Day. There were quite a few people but everything was spreed out enough that it didn't feel crowded at all. I liked that they had a smaller area for the littlest ones to safely climb and play. We will absolutely be making this as a park/ playground to return to when meeting friends!
