As soon as I walked into the building with my bearded dragon, the employees and vets were nothing but kind and respectful and got us in a room immediately. The vets were very nice and the doctor gave amazing advice for my beardie who has scoliosis and metabolic bone disease. He was treated with supportive care and we were given amazing advice on how to heal him to his fullest, information that we did not even know. They were so incredibly gentle and he is already feeling a lot better and so much more energetic. Thank you so much to everyone who worked on him, we will see you when we come back!!
So thankful for the staff at Noank-Mystic Vet. I have a bunny and it can be really difficult to find a vet that will see bunnies, but also to find a vet that is good with them. I’ve always felt comfortable with them and they’ve been so kind and helpful every time I’ve been in. They treat Oliver with as much love and care as I do and are always willing to explain things to me and help when something comes up. They’ve been great about squeezing us in if something emergent comes up, and I’m so thankful for that. I highly recommend them especially with your exotics!
My sweet big girl Coco Bean has some very horrible past trauma, Noank-Mystic has embraced her care with open arms and adapts the care they provide to truly help her live her very best life ! We love the care, love, and commitment provided here. Thank You!
I truly cannot say enough about this practice. We've been going for years and have never been treated with anything but respect and kindness. Today we had to say goodbye to one of our furry family members, and the team at NMVH did all they could to make a difficult situation easier for us to manage. I'm touched by their compassion, and feel very lucky to have them as our vet. Thank you all, so much
Dr Otka and his staff are amazing I have been bringing my animals here for years. He listens to our concerns instead of talking over us like other vets we've been to and the techs are just as kind and considerate as he is. Highly recommend NMV for all your animals needs
It took me a couple of years to write this review because of how angry and upset I was am after my experience with this Veterinarian's Office. One of my dogs suffered greatly in their hands and my other dog nearly underwent unnecessary heartworm treatment because of being misdiagnosed after HW testing And I was 'lectured' about providing her HW medication even though she received it monthly My rescue dog Amber had to be euthanized after ingesting a partial black walnut shell. She was a hoover. This was her 2nd ingestion. Her first resulted in life saving surgery, not through this Vet but this second time, too much damage and scarring from the first surgery made another surgery impossible. Instead of easing my dog's pain, they elevated it by keeping her a whole day without pain medication and without the IV fluid push they had said they were going to give her to help her dehydration and discomfort and, as they claimed, possibly help her "pass" the object. When I picked her up, she was in far worse condition than when I left her, and I had to take her to Pieper and have her euthanized. The Vet on duty who I had never met before seemed absolutely clueless and stammered her way through excuses. They also refused to euthanize her. The way we were treated was disgusting. There is no way to sugarcoat it. If there was such a thing as medical malpractice and malfeasance for a Veterinary Office, I would have brought charges. I'm still furious about the experience and I doubt I will ever get over the sadness that my beautiful, gentle, sweet, joy filled rescue dog suffered unnecessarily at this Vets hands. I am so grateful that I refused to believe my other dog had heartworms. She was tested a second time and came back negative...and she is still healthy and now 12 I do not recommend this Veterinarian to anyone who lives in New London or who owns a pibble. I wish I could prove what I know was at the heart of the problem with this office, but it is impossible. Instead, I'll send this out as a warning to those who can read between the lines. Stay away from this Vet. After seeing the response from your Vet office, I can only double down on my comments. How could you possibly review their records if this didn't occur in your office? How could you possibly know what happened if you weren't there? You blame shift? Ridiculous! Perhaps that Vet was fired from your practice? If so, that was a good move, but my experience was with more than one Vet. Either way, your response is inappropriate and exactly why I warned people to stay away. For your knowledge, it took me two years to post my experience because after receiving the portrait of my dogs the other day, the nightmare of that time all came back sharply into focus and I felt compelled to share my terrible experience.
Noank mystic is THE most compassionate, professional vet we've ever experienced. The receptionists that we talked to were friendly/understanding when we had last minute orders to PCS and had to get a health certificate within 24 hours. Despite their booked schedule squeezed us in, doctor Otka even called the state we were taking the pets to to make sure that we were receiving the proper documents to fly our pets. The orders being last minute made it hard to pay because vet visits, especially for exotic are usually pricey but the staff work with us and helped us with a sponsor. The doctor informed us of our pets' health and doctor went over the health information with us twice for understanding. The staff then printed the airline paperwork that was required. Saying noank is caring of both clients and patients is putting it lightly! The vet staff goes the extra mile for the patients and their owners!
Noan-Mystic Vet has never let me down with my reptiles. They treated my ball python about a year ago for mites, one scheduled treatment and the issue was resolved. With Minimal invasion on my python, he barely even noticed he received treatment. Then I took in a baby bearded dragon rescue from a very very bad environment. He was in very bad shape and I connected with a Rescue and Noan-Mystic Vet was so patient and worked with this Rescue even though the rep from the rescue was being a little testy and a bit rude, they moved right past that and offered the best possible care for a road to recovery for our beardie. While the odds are very low he's going to survive, they gave it their best effort and took us in last minute with no appointment. Hands down best vet around and they ACTUALLY work with exotics and don't just SAY they do!
Staff lady's are very helpful and in my case also patient. But you receive the best care for your pet. Examination rooms always seem very clean.
