We didn't know that touring the museum was by appointment only but the husband of the caretaker couple opened the museum and gave us a fabulous tour. He was informative, welcoming and generous with his time. Madame Nordica is a many generations back relative - we both are Nortons. I did not, however, get any of her singing genes!!! The museum is stocked full of Madame Nordica memorabilia--- her gowns, jewels, letters and pictures etc. We know much more about her life and fame now that we have toured this small and charming museum.
