Not open when we visited, but it was interesting to walk around the outside of the building and see one of Reich's machines on the grounds. His crypt is also on the grounds next to his machine. Highly Recommend looking up Wilhelm Reich; he was a fascinating, eccentric character. Plan to hopefully go back to the museum sometime when it is open.
Went snow shoeing. No one was there, but found tons of animal tracks. Great views!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entryFree

Very interesting place to visit. Really enjoyed touring the mansion and learning the history.
An interesting place! The fall colors were beautiful, this past weekend of Sept. 27th. Beautiful views, there's one of Wilhelm's cloudbusters outside, and personal quotes of his scattered throughout the trails! Great for everyone. The museum was closed during my visit, still impressing to see from outside!
Awesome museum displaying items that made history…covertlyReservation recommendedNot sure
My son and I arranged for a tour in May. The museum itself was probably one of the least informative museums I've ever been in, but the whole scene was fascinating nonetheless. I came away baffled as to why Wilhelm Reich was persecuted, what sort of loyalty or fascination allowed his lab to be preserved to this day, and what relevance of this strange story has today. I recommend going for the experience -- it's a beautiful part of Maine -- with an open mind and an appetite for the strange.
Very unique museum showcasing the works of Wilhelm Reich. An early medical researcher into orgone energy. Much of his work has been largely debunked, but I think he should get an A for his efforts in the pre-scientific method era. Interesting.
One of the reviews above mine said the guided tour of the building and its contents was lacking in information. I would agree with that and recommend going to another museum. In my opinion, it just wasn't worth the money charged.
Museum was closed but had a picnic on the grounds. Fascinating architecture, etc and glorious views.
