Beautiful park with ample space to relax on the grass or have a picnic. We brought our grill and grilled some meats and veggies. Came here at 6pm but people were still here with their kids and family. Walked around the lake which was so relaxing and great way to end the weekend. There’s a really nice tennis court which I want to try out next time!
UPDATE: THURSDAY, AUGUST 31, 2023, 8:45PM: This evening, I went to the Farmer's Market, mainly to buy from Book Haven Books, but was happy to buy a jar of creamed Honey from Gingko Farms, as well as some potatoes, tomatoes and a GORGEOUS green zucchini from Nolasco Farms. Pancitos, the Cuban food truck was a beautiful surprise. It was near the Veteran's Memorial, which looks very new, although I think it has been there for around four years or so. UPDATE: THURSDAY, APRIL 13, 2023, 4:57PM: It was my first time back at this lovely park in a very long time. I saw ducks and geese, and for the first time, turtles! This park remains very clean, and such an abundance of benches for sitting. UPDATE: SUNDAY, JULY 31, 2022: Today was my first time back in this park since mid-to-late 2020. I love this park very much. I love the variety of trees, the walking trails, the abundance of available benches especially for those of who continue to socially distance as much as possible, the Nature's Park Cafe and, of course, the lake. I was surprised to learn that, according to Google Maps, this park is open 24 hours a day. Most parks are open from dawn until Dusk. It was nice going to this park on a Sunday, but as I rarely go on weekends. It was a truly lovely visit and I promise I shall not allow another two years to go by before returning. I love this park. It is big and beautiful, great for walking or jogging for exercise, great for sitting on a bench with a book, great for watching the birds, or enjoying a little slice of Mother Nature. It is a very relaxing park.
I have loved this park since I was a teenager. I take my kids here now. There have been many improvements to it. The pond is really nice to walk around. You can see NYC if you go to one side of the park by Blvd East. There is a soccer field, baseball field, football field, two playgrounds. One for smaller kids. You can also walk/run around the track and there's a fitness hub as well. Playground: Big and there are benches around it for the parents or adults. Restrooms: I haven't used them but they are close to the playground and by the baseball field. Dog-friendliness: There's an area specific for dogs. It's always being utilized. Picnic area: There is a lot of space for picnics. Fourth of July tends to be packed!
Good park but it's sad they keep chipping away at the few natural areas. Too many sporting areas which are almost always empty. They have a preschool which was supposed to be temporary but is still there years later. They cut down more woods only so cops can drive through easier.
Braddock Park is a staple of North Jersey, and while the scenery is brilliant, and there are playgrounds for the kids, recreational facilities, a cafe and a lake which makes a nice walk or jog nice, the quality of the park is dwindling. Reason being: too many cookouts being done when to be quite frank it shouldn't be allowed, a certain amount of unruly individuals who ruin the prestige as well. While I primarily feel safe around Braddock Park, the town really needs to ban alcohol from being anywhere near the park. Being the park closest to where I live it's very convenient with plenty of businesses around the area, but the image needs to be cleaner. I still give this park a thumbs up because there is an effort, but the response from the city needs to improve

A quick local getaway from the urban landscape, great spot to bring your food or ice cream and chill
Love this park. You will always find beautiful animals going around. The lake is one of the best part of this park. Perfect place to spend time with friends or family. Many things you can do here since the area is huge. The park keeps changing little by little, but its charm still there not matter what. I'll recommend to go during Winter after a snow day. The view is beautiful.
Huge park to walk or run they have kayak and paddle boat in the pond and cafe to grab a bite and roasted corn truck beside the basketball soccer fields
Huge beautiful park. Lots of recreational sports fields, facilities, running trails and a 147 acre lake. It's well maintained and generally looks pretty clean. Lots going on, particularly on the weekends. They have a fairly large, and popular, street flea market thing with both new and used items that was fun to browse through. They block off the street for that venue. Nice statuary to be seen.
