Robin was so helpful during our friends service for Travis Hartle. She was super sweet and made a very difficult time someone easier. I would highly recommend her for anyone's service. I can't say enough good things about her. Thanks again for everything you did for us Laura and Jason Beard
We came just to find the grave of a relative, and we were treated like Royalty! I can only imagine how much effort they would put in for families needed their care. Robin and staff are the best of the best!
I would not recommend this place to anyone. This place is a dump. Sadly, most of these decisions are made in haste because no one experiencing grief is thinking about shopping around and reading reviews. If they did, im confident that they would take the business elsewhere. After reading these reviews, I cant wait to see how long it takes to get the headstone for my wife. After experiencing how poorly Terry Lowe does basic math with a calculator I have zero confidence in her ability to estimate time of arrival for anything. And when i called her about the fact that the temporary marker was already broken, the day after the funeral, she reminded me that it was after hours6:45pm and she was doing me a courtesy by listening to my complaint. And then refused to answer the basic question of when will i get a re-placement. They are nothing more than used car salesmen who speak slower and softer while theyre robbing you. At least used car salesmen arent preying on those who are already suffering. Shame on you. Shame on this whole industry for allowing this to go on!
I went to visit my mother's grave the Saturday before mother's day. It was the first time out since the funeral and I could not find it. It was raining and we decided to go to the office only to find them leaving but upon asking if they could help me. The gentleman stopped and went back in to look up the card for mother and where she was buried. He not only was an hour past his going home time he went out and walked thru the rain and found her grave for me. I would highly recommend anybody that cared about people that much. The cemetery is well-kept and I was pleased to have help when I needed it.
This is the most uncaring, heartless, inefficient, and unprofessional place I have ever seen!!! I would give negative stars if I could! My brother’s grave marker was paid off in April 2021 and still has not been placed. We went in November and they said had we not come then it probably would still be at the warehouse due to a clerical error because the people at the warehouse didn’t release it. We call back a week later to make sure it’s been released and she says now it could be February because of Covid and shortage of granite. The marker is already made. That makes no sense! The whole time we are talking to Terri the manager and she finally says we can cal Stonemor the headquarters for help. Which we have done but still waiting on results as of today. So I suggest to avoid this place like the plague!!! I wish I could move all of my family members to another cemetery!
I was at Oaklawn visiting my late friend who had passed away a few years ago. I flagged down a gentleman on a tractor who gave me a kind smile and wave earlier and asked if he kept up the park. He said he wasn’t part of the maintenance crew but would happy to help. My friends stone had sunk on one end and the man explained how these things happened and would get right on it as soon as he completed his current task. He promptly came back and raised the marker level and cleaned it off for me. Thanks for the greats service.
Crystal Griffin was more than helpful. She went above and beyond to assist us with a donation of burial sites that we inherited. She was prompt, thorough, knowledgeable and attentive to every need. She has excellent communication skills but also a caring and compassionate spirit to provide for those in need. Stonemor is extremely fortunate to have her with their company and am asking them to recognize such an outstanding employee.
We have recently had dealings with Calli at Oaklawn and we were more than pleased!! Previous management of Oaklawn was worse than horrible! Now that they under under new management it’s a totally different experience. Prior to this new management this was one of our horrible encounters. ...My father in law passed in June and when we went to set up his already pre-planned burial we were met with a total lack of any sense of compassion . The male who helped and I say helped loosely, mispronounced my mother in-laws last name three times after being corrected , he was so rude and had been caught in multiple lies due to some misgivings during their pre planning. Needless to say I vowed then that we would never deal with Oaklawn again. Until now. The new group is on the ball!!! We had been asking for a broken marble slab on our Mother’s grave to be replaced for about 6 YEARS! I went about 3 weeks ago and I got a text and a phone call today to tell me that it was repaired and Calli sent me a picture :. Please if you have had a bad experience before , go back and meet the new guys who are there now , it’ll change your mind. It’s a shame to think that when you go to put flowers and visit your loved ones grave that you leave with a bad feeling about how the place is being cared for , I no longer have that feeling anymore thanks to Calli and Rick !!
I visited oaklawn on Mothers Day 2020. Mr. Lewis the Territory Manager came by and we addressed some issues that needed attention. Mr Lewis was very kind and replaced an item that had been stolen years ago. This is the first time anyone associated with Oaklawn has showed concern. To Mr Lewis: Thank You!
Anyone that has been by or to Oaklawn lately will see the horrible shape it is in. There is tree roots pulling up the grave markers, trash everywhere. We complained and their answer was they have no one that is looking after the groundwork this is such a shame.
