Very clean room. The place is family run and we were introduced to them all at check in! A very nice family! The check in and check out was quick and simple. They also did not have that crazy high resort fee like the other hotels had. We had a third floor room and it was a beautiful view of the ocean. Apparently all of their rooms have the ocean view and a private balcony. Since it an actual ocean front hotel you do not have to cross any streets or anything like that to get to the beach. We also got to see the rocket from Cape Canaveral go up one evening. Another great feature about this location is it is within 5 minutes of the historical part of St Augustine, which is the main reason for our stay. We were able to visit the historical sites during the day and sleep to the sounds of the ocean at night! Any time we ever go back to St Augustine this will be our go to stay!
Extremely dated. Hotel needs a major makeover starting with the most uncomfortable and smelly furniture. View was great. Staff was wonderful. But we will not be staying there on our next trip.Rooms: 1/5

Nothing like the sound of the Atlantic Ocean waves crashing on the beach when you go to bed and wake up with your lady the ocean breeze was also awesome. Comfortable place
Not directly on the beach but nice..just FYI I had almost non existent cell service Verizon and almost no wifi..weak inside room and none on balcony. Very nice desk staff. Definitely not a party town..everything closes early.
Room was okay, bit small for the price and mediocre. They dont serve any breakfast. Nothing really fancy at all. Only positive is the 2nd floor balcony offering you a partial view of the ocean. The back of the hotel parking lot is noisy from people parking at the hotel who are NOT guests, cranking up the music and bass while they hang out drink and smoke right there. Parking lot empties out late night is when you'll find peace. Hotel is not oceanfront, approx. 200 ft to the ocean. It's a 2 and should only be worth up to $120+ a night.
You will NOT find a view better than the OceanView Lodge on Vilano beach. That’s a fact. Three floors all facing the ocean. Now to be fair this is an older motel but it’s clean and freshly repainted. The staff are Super friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are clean and nice for this price point. The breeze is always blowing

Me, my husband, and my parents loved staying here! Oceanview Lodge is a great place to stay! Clean, nice rooms! We actually stayed in the the 2 queen beds on the 1st floor our first night and it was clean and spacious, then for the other 3 days we moved up to the 2 room suite on the 2nd floor, and it was awesome for the price and clean too! Nice view, 2 min walk to the beach, friendly and helpful staff, I've stayed in quite a few hotels, and this is one of the best I've stayed in! We will definitely stay here again if we come back to this area! Hoping to bring family to the upstairs rental house soon!
Ocean View Lodge has probably been the best hotel I've stayed in. It's not big, or fancy, no comparison to large corporate hotels, as far as room size or amenities, and they don't serve breakfast, which was fine for us. BUT, it's quiet, its clean, it's affordable and just steps from.the Beach. Good parking very friendly staff. We will definitely be staying again. We were able to watch the sun rise from the horizon each morning from the balcony.
