Just left after our annual visit to Ocean View.. the improvements to the park are just great. The care and attention by the friendly staff are top shelf. This is a convenient fish camp destination as close to the ocean as one can be.... we listen to the surf and sleep better than at home. The park now has full hook-up and paved roadways as opposed to the old dusty partial hook-ups. Linda and Paul go out of their way to accommodate. Paul often says let me know if you need anything... and he means it. We look forward to our next visit, which is already booked for 2024. We just won't stay anywhere else on the lower Rogue. Oceanside RV park has been a perfect way to beat the heat this summer. To Linda and all the staff at the park, I want to express my thanks. I have enjoyed getting to know everyone. I have reserved for next season and look forward to returning. I leave refreshed and relaxed. What more could I ask for? Sincerely, Stephen Spurgin
We stayed in one of the yurts. The check in process was easy and the yurt was bigger than I expected which was awesome. They do not come with any bedding so make sure to bring your own. It did come with a small heater with worked well and lights. One electrical outlet which was nice to have too. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. The park is a short walk to the river outlet and beach. Only issue we had was checking out, the office didn't open until 10am and we couldn't find a drop-box of any sort for the keys so if you want to check out early that was the only struggle. Other than that, we had an amazing time and plan on coming back in the future!
We stayed 2 nights in our motorhome. Check in was seamless, was taken to the site by a guy in golf cart. He made sure my auto levelers were on the asphalt pad and hookups were all there. Super quite park, restrooms clean. Lots of people left their stuff outside, as did we. No one bothered it. Short walk to beach and watched all the boats trolling for Salmon. Would stay again.
I am giving a low rating for the horrible customer service of Linda the manager Other people working there are amazing I have to state. After being there for 6 months and paying in advance, Linda would not prorate 1 extra night as a courtesy! She wanted to charge nightly rate like we were never there!!! The worst was the rude attitude and her telling me : "I want you to get out of "My Park"! Months prior the same woman shocked my kind husband who tried to discuss staying longer than 6 months, with her Rude answer: "No! The park is booked for the summer and I need you to Get out of "My park" by early April!! Get out of My Park is a statement she loves! She doesnt even own the park! She is simply Rude with No Smile!!! Sad to witness.
Due to the sudden death of my husband, we had to cancel 2 weeks prior to our arrival. We had to pay a $75 cancellation fee which I was told would be refunded in 5 to 10 business days. 11 business days later and no refund. They never processed it until I contacted them. I understand cancellation fees, but for the 10 reservations I had to cancel due to the death, I never had to pay more than $10. Ridiculous that I had to contact them again for my refund. We will not be staying here when we do make this trip.
My stay in Gold Beach has been most relaxing and peaceful. The beach walks, the fresh fish to eat every day, the fog rolling in, and a front row seat for 4th of July fireworks. Thank you especially to the folks who manage OS RV Park.. you made me feel welcome. Just what I needed.. see you again soon. Sincerely, Steve SpurginService: 5/5
This park is right across from the beach. The spots are decent. Most of the year, it is not crowded. The summer can get pretty packed, but that is the same with all parks in the area. It is right by the jetty and also a long beautiful ocean beach.Location: 5/5
Great location and the park is clean but there is no shade also they do not want to pay for Wi-Fi which nowadays is kind of baffling. We had great cell service so it didn't matter much to us but for their own good spend the extra money .Hotel highlightsGreat view
We stayed for 2 nights late September. We love the location and had a view of the ocean and the river. The beach is a very short walk from the park. A few things to be aware of is the wind on the ocean view sites. The first night the wind rocked the motorhome and kept me awake. It was a strong sustained wind that continued until late afternoon, but when it stopped we had beautiful weather for the rest of our stay. We watched the sun rise and set in our sunny ocean view space No. 3. There is no internet at all so bring your own. The cable is limited but very clear. Another thing to note if you have dogs is that there were small burrs everywhere this time of year. All in all though this is the place to stay in Gold Beach. We will definitely return. Thank you Linda for the awesome space!
