Old Holy Cross Cemetery, Santa Cruz California - Neighbors

I use to go to this place with my parents all the time to pay respect to my mom's great uncle and aunt. Now it's been about 5 or 6 years since visited. I came here recently 3 times and cannot find the the grave sites due to such poor upkeeping. Tried calling and I get no response back. When I finally got a hold of someone they have no idea and give me the run around. This is unacceptable. Please do something to make this cemetery great again.

This cemetery is mowed but not well maintained. For instance, the American flag has disgracefully hung from only the bottom grommet for a month.

Bought my late brother his memorialization bar 12/26/22 still waiting till this day. No one called me to explain. I have spend numerous hours calling talking to different people with no positive results given just the run around. Very unprofessional, dissatisfied.

There are three generations of my family in the cemetery. I was there in November and shocked at the dirt, unmoved lawns and general lack of upkeep. The graves were so unattended to that I couldn't find my grandparents grave. I wrote a latter to the Dioceses and have never heard back from them..Please do something to help that sweet place. It is a disgrace!!

I went here with my grandparents to see their parents and grandparents and I am extremely disappointed! It is unacceptable for my 75 year old grandfather to be on his hands and knees pulling weeds just to be able to see his mother's grave. I am appalled by the care for everyone's loved ones! You pay for perpetual care so that graves will be taken care of and you can go see you family and friends that have passed. It is completely unfair for the people who have spent hard earned money to be able to visit their family and remember them without having to pull weeds and clean around their headstones. The people who have passed away would be disappointed to see what their graves have become. I would never choose to have someone buried here unless things change.

I can't believe how unprofessional this place has gotten! I have been going to Holy Cross for the last 3-4 years and have always found the staff professional and caring. I'm not sure why they recently made a staff change, all I can say is please change it back! The cemetery used to look great... now it's just a mess! I am so disappointed that we choose this place for our loved ones. I wonder if I can have them moved.. hmmm.

They have very professional staff and they take very good care of their cemetery and overall I think the staff change helped better the cemetery‼
