Camped here since 2005 with no issues and planned 3 stays this year. We usually book the stays with 2 or 3 other couples to include my daughter and her family. My daughter called to cancel an upcoming reservation because her best friend needed her to be by her side during her cancer treatments and a quickly planned wedding to her boyfriend because of her eventual outcome. She was told she would lose her $50.00 deposit and said that was fine. She was later told she should lose the complete payment of $300. The person s on the phone were very rude to her. My daughter's husband later called back and said he would like to reinstate the reservation to be used for 1 night instead of the 2 nights paid for, he was told that they lost the $300 deposit and now it would cost another $280.00 on top of that. I will Not Ever stay at this Campground again and neither will any of the other couples we camp with because of the way this situation was handled by the management. There are plenty of other clean well-managed campgrounds in the same area.
Our experiences are anything but delightful! We traveled from Florida to enjoy the cool temps of Maine, but with campfire smoke and loud gatherings till midnight that is impossible. Be really cautious on site selection. Many site are not big rig friendly. Driving a large Class A Diesel negotiating around the trees in the Black Forest area can quite difficult. If you are not traveling with children and looking for quiet and serene location to enjoy all that Maine has to offer you might want to look elsewhere.
This place is amazing!! Wow what a camp ground!! First the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable an also tell you about things going on in their park an the community. Awesome to help supporting local! Second, the landscaping is beautiful, well thought out! Some seasonal lots are beautiful! Our spot was 154 in The Grove. Very nice spot. Fire pit, picnic table an all your hookups. Pad was fairly level as well. It is very safe, with a key card to enter the park. Also security is on the grounds. The pool was great. The internet is decent. Also driving ya with a camper isn't difficult here. They definitely look after this campground. We will be back. Hopefully next month! Thank you crew!
Lots were a good size and clean. Great firepits. Well maintained. Clean bathhouse. Only thing I can call an issue is roads should have arrows to direct traffic.Location: 5/5
I have been to over 30 RV parks and this is in my top 3. It's friendly, clean, family oriented and yet quiet enough for a single person like me. Great internet, great location, good size. If I ever get to Maine again I would stay here most defintely- hopefully for a longer period of time!Rooms: 5/5
Overall, the facilities are very nice, but I asked about having two friends visit us for an hour to have dinner and realizing there was a $24 fee is ridiculous. After paying over $100 per night which is to be expected, you would think they would be a little lenient for guests that will be here for less than an hour.
It was a fabulous experience! The bathrooms were clean, the staff so so lovely, we felt safe and our kids loved it there!Service: 5/5
