The Old School History Museum occupies four classrooms of the original 1916 Eatonton School. Visitors will experience:
- A vintage drugstore complete with the marble topped soda fountain, 1946 jukebox, ice cream chairs and tables, and period photographs.
- A reproduction of turn-of-the-century downtown Eatonton with a variety of storefronts. These "windows in time" feature artifacts and vintage treasures.
- A history gallery that guides visitors through early Indian culture, the days of King Cotton, the Civil War and reconstruction, and into the 20th century.
- A historic classroom restored to its early 1900's condition. This classroom boasts its original blackboard, cloakroom, vintage photo album, and a collection of student memorabilia. There is also a photo album of all the school's graduating classes from 1916 to the 1970's.
-Additional photographs of Putnam County sports, Eatonton teachers, town scenes, and historic events are displayed in the hallways outside the museum
The Old School History Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting Eatonton and Putnam County history for the education and enrichment of present and future generations.
