I called beforehand to see what items would be accepted at the store and was told which items but not that they had to be in a tote or laundry basket. After watching me make multiple trips to lug numerous toys and books into the store in boxes, one of the workers told me they only accept items in totes and baskets. I told her that I called in to verify acceptable items but the person I spoke with did not mention the items have to be in totes or baskets. A woman behind the worker I was speaking with asked if i was the one who just called. I said I called a while ago. The worker informed me that she did tell me about the totes and baskets. She was rude and ungracious about it. I’m not even sure she’s the person I spoke with but I am sure the person I spoke with did not mention totes or baskets unless the phone cut out for that entire part of the conversation and I didn’t notice. I understand this job is probably trying at times but that worker’s unprofessional attitude and the general awkwardness of the staff made me feel comfortable about the decision to not returning in the future for any reason.
This kid's clothing resale store in Lincoln is not as good as the one in Sioux Falls. First time ever in the store we came with a sm reusable grocery bag with just a few items and they said "this time we can accept it but next time it needs to be in a bag or tote." We go there again a few days later with a garbage bag full of baby/toddler clothes and they are like "no it needs to be in a tote so we can stack it cause we get so much" and I was like "that's not what we were told but ok I guess I will come back later" and so I went back to my house had our older daughter empty a med/lrg tote of stuffed animals in her room and just put the garbage bag in the tote and brought it back to them and now they are like "that tote is too big we can't accept clothes in that" What a waste of time and the clothing selection is very limited. I would rather donate clothes and shop elsewhere after that terrible customer service experience.
Hands down one of my favorite store to shop at and sell to. I have sold here many times before and everytime I come here, I am greeted with a friendly ‘Hello.’ Great customer service.
Followed directions on the website having items to sell neatly laid out in a box & drove across town to the store. The workers wouldn’t even look at the items saying they want them in a hard sided container. Not what I would call good customer service,
Crystal Torres, everything about your post makes no sense. You were told no bags or boxes, but they were kind enough to look at the few items in a BAG! Then you came back with ANOTHER bag, after them explaining they don’t accept those. ‍
If you are considering shopping or selling clothes here, don’t. All the negative reviews here are absolutely accurate. The customer service is a joke. They will give you pennies for clothes, and their prices for used clothes are hardly less than brand new ones at Target. Save yourself the headache and stay far away.
When I was bringing in stuff to sell I felt very judged by the women working behind the counter. They were sending me back with stuff they didn't want right when I brought it in 'to save space'. Watching them go through the stuff and decide what they didn't want was rude if you ask me. I also called twice the other day to ask about bringing in stuff to sell and they didn't mention that they only accept laundry baskets or hard sided totes. They won't take small items that aren't in one. I had a bunch of clothes in a box. They told me no that they only accept 4 things from one person4 totes or 4 large toys that can't fit in totes. I asked if they accepted baby toys and supplieslike a bottle warmer and she said yes they accepted baby accessories. She didn't tell me they dont accept blankets, sheets, diaper genie s, stuffed animals or baby bathtubs which if you ask me is all baby accessories. Overall very stressful and upsetting
Shopping is ok. That's where the good ends. The boys racks are bare and when we brought in a tote of boys clothes to sell, the ladies going through it were picking out things and packing totes for themselves. Everything that they didn't pick out "had stains", even the clothes still on the hanger from the store that had never even been out of the bag. When confronted about this the manager went straight to name calling and flipped the tote off the counter almost landing on my 16 month old son. Had to restrain myself heavily. Never shopping here again and i strongly discourage others unless they are in great need. No matter what you're better off selling on Facebook.
I like somewhat shopping at the store but for my first time taking clothes to have them buy was not the best experience ever. Out of a whole tote that was full of clothes some that were name brand and some that weren’t all in good condition. They only took about 5 items out of the tote and told me that everything else had stains on them. If I ever take clothes there again to have them buy I’m going to stay and watch so that can point out the stains to me.
The first time I took a tote full of clothes here I got a good amount of $$ back. This last time, they picked three items off the top, and told me the rest were stained. Now that I'm going through my tote, most of them are still folded and in the order we had them. Some of the clothes haven't even been worn. So I know they're in good condition.
