I dropped off so many many item's yesterday afternoon, that included bags and totes. They explained they were running behind but was surprising done in les than two hours. When I went to pick my things up they pretty much gave 95% of it back. I seen there were at lease two pairs of shoes that were very lightly used given back, Nikes and polo boots. I asked why they didn't take them and they then accepted them for maybe $7 lol. Point is I don't believe they went through all of the items, one by one. There's no way they did. I will never take this long drive from the city again. Waste of time. These are pictures of items that were buried in my tote that they denied. I did speak with the manager Maggie and she was very kind but that team is lazy.
Lazy workers. Went in for the second time this week because of a daily limit they had they first told me my stuff wasn’t ready when I came, but I had a text saying it was. They couldn’t find it, then did. Once they did told me they weren’t taking anything cause there wasn’t matches. I had two boxes they only even opened one, the other was folded exactly how I had it with shoes on top. I told her so you don’t take shoes and sleepers she said we do, I don’t know who went through it. Another woman comes over and says when they see ONE SINGLE ITEM without a match that they don’t go through anything else you dropped off. So that after seeing one of my outfits not matching they preceded to mark it as sorted through and they did not go through anything else of mine. What a joke they get paid to look through items and they don’t, which is exactly why this location has nothing on their racks to shop from. they don’t follow the store rules, they don’t appreciate the customers and the fact that we participate in keeping the business going with our donations, and they’re lazy. Don’t waste your time. These people shouldn’t even get paid they aren’t doing any work, you can tell by all the reviews and how the store looks when you go.
PLEASE READ! This place is awful and is nothing like it used to be 10 years ago. I wondered why over the years the amount they offer became lower and lower even though I sold them in demand items in great quality well guess what? No matter what condition the items are in the manager/owner informed the workers to put it in the system as used. That’s right even if it’s brand new! That’s why the offers are so low now. They should be ashamed. Cheating the customers. I know this for sure as I spoke with someone who works at the Orland Park location. If we stop doing business there maybe they’ll wake up. I’ve been contemplating getting legal representation because that has to be a crime misleading us as if they’re calculating the value of our items accurately. The value of our items should be based on the condition because that determines the price they sell them for. This is how it was when they first opened. I guess that’s not as lucrative as cheating the customers.
I want to thank Alize and Jasmine for their help today in my hunt to find a car seat for my daughter! From my very first question, Alize was attentive and went above and beyond to communicate with me and do what she could to ensure I walked out of the store with a car seat today! I appreciate how kind she was in doing so. A smile definitely goes a long way. Jasmine was extremely impressive in her ability to remain attentive to my need while managing other customer’s needs at the same time. She managed to prioritize each of us while maintaining professionalism and a smile on her face. I’ve been shopping at this location for years and I plan to continue. And yes! I found my baby a new car seat! Mission complete! She was so excited to get in the car! Thank you thank you thank you!
I drove all the way down and brought good large toddler toys and some electronic toys. They didn't offer nearly as much as I had hoped, but it was better than nothing. However, my biggest issue with this location was the poor customer service! The place looked like it was being run by a group of unprofessional teenagers who hadn't been trained on how to interact with or speak to customers. The young lady who checked me out during my "pick-up" didn't even look me in the eye. The sell process wasn't clearly explained and the clerk hardly engaged with me. One of the teen workers was dressed inappropriately. I left the place feeling unwelcome and low-balled. I have no plans of returning to that location to sell. I agree with what other reviewers said: 1. I would have felt better donating the items to charity. 2. I would have had a better experience at the Bolingbrook location.
I shop at many Once Upon a Child and this location is the worst. They don't have much on their racks and a lot of what they have is not in great condition. The customer service is the worst!! Unprofessional and untrained I don't understand why people work in customer service if they don't like it. I have had 3 issues 3 different times I don't know why I went back. 1- Ihad asked to get a play mat down that I could not reach and the cashier rolled her eyes and said I will be there in a bit. After waiting almost 5 minutes she comes to help and says which do you want I asked her to bring the one down I wanted to see it looked to be missing a piece and asked her if she can check on top it looked like it was up there and her response was oh I don't know and did not check. 2- I was with my sister in law and her son is handicap and uses a wheelchair we were in the check out line and he was moving in that row and he crashed into the side rack and the employee started laughing and looked to the other employees and started to make fun of him I was talking in spanish to my sister in law so I think they thought I didn't speak English I loudly said to the employee is there something funny about that she then looked like she saw a ghost. I was extremely angry and I started asking for her name and she then started laughing at me and had another person switch with her to check us out. 3- not once have I had a good cashier that is nice except this one time and I could not believe how rude her colleagues were to her. Looked like she was training and when she would ask stuff the way they would respond to her I even felt horrible. Which now makes sense why the employees all look miserable and hate working there. Every time I come here I have un pleasant encounters! I will no longer be going to this location!
I been a big fan of these stores.. clothes always in good condition and very good price.. this is my first time in this location and honestly everything good.. the reason I’m giving 3 stars is because the staff is kinda rude.. especially the girl who checked me out.Employee: LFF no customer service skills at all..
The employees are hard working. The parents of the children should keep them playin and putting the toys all over the place. That area is always a mess and broken dirty toys. The clothes shoes baby cribs etc are very organized. The manager is such a nice person and Aliza is so hard working …thank you. Maybe they should take the toy section out.
Me and a family member brought in items, checked them in separately in separate containers and they ended up mixing her items in with mine and tried to pay me for some of her items. I noticed and got it fixed, then ended up just not selling any of my items because they were offering only about 5% of retail price for brand new items which wasn't my biggest concern. The reason I’m making this is because they sat my return items the items they didn’t care about because they were not purchasing them from me with items they had for sale on the floor and very easy for other customers to just grab MY THINGS and go. Someone had even put a toy from the store in it that they weren't purchasing because they assumed it was a bin of items the store was selling. So I’m still trying to figure out if I’m missing items due to the negligence. Also they couldn’t find the most expensive item I had brought in and decided not to sell to them because it was brand new never used retailed for 70 dollars and was only offering about 5 bucks or less for it. I loved going here to buy things for my son and this was my first time selling at this particular store, i will never be selling items here again and will definitely be letting people know not to as well.
Words cannot describe how this place has not only saved me money, but has also save me time. Having a growing boy that is constantly changing and sizes this place has made it not only affordable for my family, but easy for me to find high-quality clothing for him at any time. In addition, as he's grown old, are the specific location has had amazing quality of toys and items that he is currently into. Not to mention they have the best staff! Thank you
