Plainfield Parks and Recreation is located at 651 Vestal Road in Plainfield.
The Plainfield Parks and Recreatiion Department is headquartered at 651 Vestal Road in Plainfield. This is also the location of the Plainfield Recreation and Aquatics Center, including the Splash Island indoor and outdoor water parks.
Plainfield has more than 20 miles of trails and pathways that connect our entire town. The town also inventories over 470 acres of park properties, including twelve that have been developed. They include:
-The Skate Park at Anderson Park (10.44 acres)
-The Al & Jan Barker Sports Complex (61.93 acres)
-The Recreation and Aquatics Center (26.69 acres)
-Friendship Gardens (12.78 acres)
-Swinford Park (27.41 acres)
-Franklin Park (18.67 acres)
-Bob Ward Park (.93 acre)
-The Community Gardens (20 ft x 20 ft plots for the community to use as gardens without having one in their yards. There are 55 plots in total.)
Many more acres are scheduled for development. In addition, Hummel Park (which is located within the Town of Plainfield, but is a township park, not a town park) offers 204 acres of recreational activities.
