Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay has 5 offices throughout Florida. Brandon, Riverview, Winter Haven, Plant City and Tampa. The Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay has been providing the greater Tampa area with state of the art orthopaedic care for nearly thirty years. With Dr. Stuart Goldsmith and his son Dr. Scott Goldsmith these offices have multiplied. Amongest adding more talented people to the practices of OMG. This was my first visit and I saw 2 PAs and they were both so thorough and just great. One give me an injection in my hip and he was thoughtful and kind and efficient. My appointment was with Dr. Becker and for the first time since my hip injury I felt like people were listening. Thank you so much. I am truly grateful-
Dr Butler and his staff are the absolute best. Super knowledgeable, professional and caring. I healed so fast and now I am back to normal. I will forever be grateful for the work total shoulder replacement that Dr Butler has done. If you want the best Orthopedic Surgeon look no further. He has several locations and is very accomodating. My 10 year old son was referred due to a broken arm/elbow. It was a rough start with the referral process however Kasondra Evans, The Business Manager for the Winter Haven location went absolutely above and beyond to rectify the situation. We cannot thank her enough for getting us in the very next morning. The team was wonderful. The doctor was great! Professional and knowledgeable team! Thank you!
I was not treated with respect. The Dr was rude and short with me. I asked for a X-ray of my right knee too. He ignored me. I received a second injection did not tell me what was in it in my left knee that has a torn meniscus osteoarthritis He stated I had two choices one keep doing these injections till they don’t work anymore Second total knee replacement. I never got to see the mri of knee or cervical which I still haven’t been addressed . This Dr told me to do physical therapy The pain is unbelievable to bend it or walk on it is . Dr Butler was great! The front desk employees were great. I need a new Dr to do a second opinion and are about me. It seems as Dr Watson doesn’t like his patients on Medicaid. He acts like it is such a bother to see him for one minute. Your a large Orthopedic group cannot believe you do not have a different surgeon? I also need a spine surgeon
The visits are always...pleasant, the staff are always very friendly and helpful. The visits before surgery are a bit on the painful due to the need for surgery. After surgery everyone does what they can to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. The classes are informative. This time was my other knee total replacement. Both my knees were total replacements by Dr Goldsmith. Thank you All. Gail Gonzalez formally Roussey.
Lab tech was awesome friendly and good at taking blood ty Nursing staff very comforting and responsive. PT gentle and clear instructions. Dr Watson did a great job, clean line opening and closure. Personable and experienced. Healing well Overall Good Experience.
I love this place! We waited a very short time. They took your x-rays in house, they diagnosed you, provided a treatment plan, and had you on your way with all the documentation you needed. Give them a try! After 2 total knee replacements within 2.5 months, my cousin now walks without a walker and her legs are straight again. He uses the tape instead for stiches for a nicer scar as well. Dr. Goldsmith was excellent!
Saw the PA at the Fishhawk location several times before. Very nice. But it took 3 visits before I could see the doctor. Doctor Sando seemed nice and appears competent in his profession. Then went to their P/T facility in Fishhawk. Won't go back. Arrived 45 mins early knowing I'd have to do paperwork. they still made me wait another 45 minutes beyond my appointment time and then the therapist gave me a few exercises to do spent probably 20 mins max actively doing anything hands on and then he gave me exercises to do at home. Charged for a full hour. I've been to many P/T facilities over the years for various serious injuries and this was by far the worst. Slow, inattentive, and not very caring. Just a money maker in my opinion.
The doctors are probably ok if you see them. Got tossed around to an athletic trainer first then when he couldn’t sell me on physical therapy the PA came in. I asked about seeing the doctor who was actually going to perform the surgery the one I researched and why I made my appt at this facility and was talked to like I was crazy bc the PA and the doctor perform the surgery so that isn’t necessary. Because I had to explain my injury so many times, they notes were written down wrong and I am not able to get a proper mri with out going in for another visit even though my appt with them was just yesterday!
