I had a positive experience with booking, office visits, physicians and the hospital/delivery. Dr. Renfroe ended up taking care of me after a few visits, and her and her staff took great care of me for the duration of my pregnancy, hospital stay and delivery. Every nurse, tech, or staff I delt with was wonderful, helpful and polite. Specialists offices can often be busy, but that is because they are the best, the negative reviewers didnt seem to take this into consideration.
At first I was nervous since I experienced a different facility for my first birth delivery, but I had a top notch experience and great support from medical staff. Answered all of my questions. Staff members informed me very well every step of the way. They work well together and independently. I felt a great sense of trust and assistance during my stay and through my recovery. I'm happy to have had my baby here.
Dr. Renfroe and her team have been very kind and thorough. The Dr. and her team caught something that my gynecologist and her team missed. Nurse Morgan and Nurse Cassie along with others have been thoughtful and have made me feel cared for and not like another number. The ladies at the front desk always have a smile and kind personality. Most sonographers were kind, thorough and xplained what they were viewing so I was a part of the process. Sonographer Candy/Candice was especially thorough and friendly. I am so happy that I will be delivering here. My appointments have always been scheduled with my discretion at the front desk. Update: Holding strong at 34 weeks. It’s because of them that my pregnancy is still going on strong and we avoided preterm labor. Nurse Emily and sonographer Michelle are also wonderful! So blessed to have found them!
Dr. Renfroe is second to none. This is our 2nd pregnancy with Dr. Renfroe and we are not just a number to her. She has compassion in her heart for what she does, we are forever thankful for her. Also, her nurse Angie is such a wonderful nurse always there when we call and always easy to talk to! You ladies are wonderful !
This was a great experience for such a big hospital. I’ve heard horror stories about facilities not letting spouses come, not letting you see anything on the screen, not telling you what’s going on at all, etc. I was so beyond pleased with OSF! The super friendly and happy staff explained everything to me, let my husband come with, let me see the ultrasound screen, and gave me a ton of pictures! I was so nervous going in and was so relieved with our experience in the end! Thank you and I hope my providers get a chance to see this!
This is my second pregnancy, and I’ve been seen here for both. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind. Dr Renfroe is an amazing and caring doctor. I consider myself lucky to have such an amazing resource for my high risk pregnancy so close to home.
If you can use another office, do so. I’ve had to use them for two pregnancies. They treat their patients like a herd of cattle, book appointments FOR you without verifying your schedule, overbook, often don’t answer phones or say they’ll call you back and then don’t, and the staff have bad attitudes like you’re pestering them. You’re paying THEM, but that is not the mentality of the office.
They just set up an appointment for me never asked if I was available. I am 34 weeks pregnant. When I called to reschedule they told me they couldn't change the appointment until after the baby is born. I have a life as well. I have other appointments. I am pregnant with other baby appointments.
I would not recommend any friends or family to come here. I had a very bad experience, privacy was taken from me unwilling, and was not given what I was told I was going to be given. I've tried to talk with the hospital about what I can do and they have refused to help, saying they can't and won't do anything.
First impressions go a long way. First appointment is dictated, set up whether it works for the patient's schedule or not, is inflexible, and comes with a dandy rude scheduling staff.
