The hospital is very clean with excellent signage to lead you where you need to go. Lots of hand sanitizer stations all around and free masks at the doors. Bathrooms are clean. Grounds are landscaped beautifully. Aesthetically the place is very pleasing. The cafeteria food is something I would eat even if I wasn’t here visiting people. It’s pretty decent! There is a Starbucks near the cafeteria too. Prices are comparable to a restaurant and serving size are a bit much for me/ not complaining! Since this is a newer building the patient rooms are on par with 3 star motel quality/modernization There is plenty of seating and a couch to sleep on for visitors. Large LG brand TV on the wall. Foam soap dispenser in the bathroom. The staff are SUPER compassionate and respectful especially of those with intellectual disabilities. They are attentive and so very kind. They go out of their way to take care of you. The Staff employed by the hospital are what makes it a true 5 star experience for me. The care we received was 10/10 for sure!
I had a c section there on 9/18/22. The doctor I had was on call and wasn’t my OB. She wouldn’t answer her phone for like 3 hrs and my water was broke for 30 hrs. Ran a fever due to infection and me and my daughter had tachycardia. Lost 1,600-1,700 milliliters of blood. Was on antibiotics for 3 1/2 days stayed 4 days. Which losing blood can occur not the issue. But I’ve had this ob before and i switched. Some of these things could’ve been avoided. It could've been a really bad outcome but I didn’t die Thank Goodness.I’m thinking about staying out of Owensboro and going somewhere else due to this situation. But I had a nurse on labor and delivery and her name was Julie and she was incredible!!! The nurses on mother and baby were great as well!!
A family member was in the icu - he's better now. All the staff were fantastic from the front desk, to nurses, to doctors. If you have a loved one here ask about the hospitality suites for families. That made a difficult time so much easier.
My father had a procedure done this morning. Everyone seemed to do an excellent job, but 2 nurses need some recognition... Cordie and Jamie Sparks made our visit as pleasant as it could be They both were phenomenal, keeping us smiling while taking great care of my father! A big "THANK YOU" to these ladies!!
I love this hospital. I went to the ER with severe stomach pain and the wait time was reasonable for an ER, the doctor, nurses, and auxiliary staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. I became an inpatient for three days and was well cared for. A special thanks to Dr. Jon Stauffer and his staff in the gastroenterology department. He is the best doctor I have ever had. He always makes you feel like you are his only patient.Highly recommend.
I've always given Owensboro health 5 stars but today I can't. The doctors great, nurses.great, but they've had my wife in recovery for over 3 hrs. Because there's no rooms available, who's fault is that? Not ours the patients shouldn't have to suffer for the hospitals screw ups.the worst hospital about releasing patients
This place has been nothing but amazing with everything I have had to get done there. From the ER, to surgery to MRI’s. The staff has all been very kind. Kaci the one who did my MRI was absolutely wonderful she helped keep me calm and was very caring, she went above and beyond to make sure I was okay. I have not had one bad experience in the amount of visits I have had here in the past couple of months.
This hospital is absolutely terrible they have no concern over any of the patients needs whether it be pain management or if they had a heart attack the doctors come in and speak to you as if you don't understand even when you're asking questions and don't take the time to listen to what you're actually trying to question them on nonetheless give you any real answers the nurses do the bare minimum and the people that come in and draw blood can never draw blood they always have to get someone else sometimes even three people have to come in and try to draw blood from you. Cafeteria sucks the subway is only open till 2:00 p.m. and no matter what you tell the lady that you want on your sandwich she will always just put whatever she wants she might as well be deaf cuz you're not going to get what you asked for I will give this hospital a negative 10 and it's the only hospital in Davis county.
Have been here 2 times in 2 weeks and have had the best care. The nurses and Er drs have given the best care to my fiancé answers to his medical issues. I can't thank them enough for their kindness, good care and extra attention to detail!
I am a frequent visitor to Owensboro Health. I see Gastroenterologist Jonathan T. Stauffer who in my opinion is an angel! The staff at Owensboro health are phenomenal. I have been treated like royalty every time I have been there. From my Doctor, his nursing staff, O.R staff, the waiting room staff, the greeters, and the parking attendants everyone makes sure you feel comfortable, safe, and like you truly matter. I was under another physician's care for five years before being told they couldnt help me. I saw Dr Stauffer who spent over two hours just speaking to me asking questions and making sure he understood my issues before he ever examined me. Less than three months he had a full diagnosis and I was feeling better than I had in 15 years. Had I kept seeing the other physician I could have died. I feel if you are unhappy or uneasy with your Doctor and can travel here or are from this area see for yourself what it has to offer. You may just find your angel like I did to help ease some or all of your suffering.
